You know, "rest in peace" is put on grave markers for a reason.
It was not always taught that the dead would go straight to heaven or hell. It's still taught in some congregations that the dead are asleep and waiting for the return of Christ.
I know that's only part of the site...but I got tired of reading all the out of context verses and misinterpretations.

An interest array of scriptures at the site you linked
But the person who compiled them seems to be missing a fundamental Christian doctrine. Christianity teaches that man is made of three different parts, a body, a soul and a spirit. Each operates in a different "realm" by different laws. The body in the physical realm where it is bound by the laws of time, space, physics, etc. The soul (which controls the mind, will and emotions) operates in the mental realm. It has not direct effect on the physical, and is not bound by its laws.
And then there is the spirit, which is the part of man which is able to contact the spirit realm and communicate with God.
When a person becomes a Chistian, their salvation comes in different stages. Their spirit is immediately reborn and made 100% right with God. but it may take them months or years to get their mind and actions in line with that rebirth. The soul (or mind) has to be renewed daily. The body often has to be dragged along kicking and fighting because it would rather be doing other things that give it more pleasure. That is wny there are so many immature Christians, they have been reborn in their spirit, but have not renew their minds.
So a death, each of the parts of man undergoes a different change. The spirit, which already lives in the spiritual realm, goes straight into the presence of God. That is why Paul could write that "to be absent from the body is to be present with God". There is no need for a body in heaven, so it is left in the grave.
The time will come when God moves his throne to earth, at the Second Coming of Christ. At that time, a body will be needed, so there will be a resurrection of the body at that time. It will be different in substance, because it will be able to cross between the physical and the spiritual realm. But it will be a body.
In the list of scriptures linked to, there is no effort made to distinquish which speak of the future of the body, which speak of the soul and which speak of the spirit. Without that distinction, usually found in the context of the verses, it could easily become confusing. Especially since the list is heavily weighted with scriptures about the body, and leaves out most that deal with the soul and spirit.

Look, people may not believe this, but the bible does not say anywhere specifically what is needed to receive "eternal life". The closest it comes is something like "those who believeth in him" Believeth what? I believeth that Jesus was a bumble bee, do I go to heaven? That explains all the denominations. Furthermore, there is no description about this "after life". The closest it comes is the "new jerusalem" which lands on the earth, and it has very think walls, and what goes on in there for eternity no one knows. So, the Christians preach a lot but they don't know what they're talking about.

I hope God has a good sense of humor for your sake, but let me give you a couple answers.
1st Luke 10:26-10:28 A man asks Jesus "Good teacher how can one inherit eternal life?" Jesus said, "What do the the scriptures tell you?" The man said, "Love the lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself." JESUS SAID "YOU HAVE ANSWERED CORRECTLY DO THIS AND YOU WILL LIVE!!"
2nd In the book of Romans I don't have the verse but it clearly says anyone who calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.

No. Jesus lived. Jesus died as told in the Bible. Jesus grants salvation. Jesus is the Lord of Lords. Salvation comes only at death. To be "born again" means that at death your soul is born into the kingdom of heaven. You can not claim to be born again in this life, that is simply saying it.
That is all the truth I need to know. Every book ever written has errors and the Bible is no different. But the simple truth of the Bible is all anyone needs anyway.

I challenge you to, in-context show me a clear contradiction in text. Not in observable points of view, but in text. If you are up to it, email me with your contradictions 1 at a time, and I will respond. but be sure you do not take it out of context as most do, that just makes people look really stupid.

That depends, i mean there are "Christians" who lie about the bible and there are those who don't. I think the best way to find out is if you read the bible yourself and see what it says firsthand.

The spirit lives on! Eternal life is a fact. You can have eternal life in Heaven, or Hell. I choose Heaven (a Virtual Paradise), over Hell.( an awful place)
