So I'll be sent to hell for being an Atheist? OK so then by that logic it contradicts the concept of god (if he was real) as being a loving god.
Seems to me that god is a loving god to those who believe that he exists and the same people will say that god is a vengeful god towards those who do not follow the same religion or deny god exists

Personally I wouldn't send anyone to Hell. I would "uncreate" those people whom God says are not going to be with Him for all eternity. But I'm not God. From what the Bible teaches, every human being has an eternal spirit and those who choose not to obey God's commands and accept the payment that He made for their disobedience by repenting of their sins and trusting in Jesus have as it were "made their own bed" and they are the ones who have to lie in it after they have run out of chances and their life on this planet is over.

Why do people keep saying God will send people to hell?
They will not be with God in heaven - eternally separated by their choosing. God is not sending He is leaving them to their own desires.

God doesnt send anyone to hell. He simply allows people to reap the natural consequences of their actions. Everyone is imperfect and thus prone to physical and spiritual death (caused by sin). Physical death is unavoidable, as is our resurrection.
Spiritual death is also inevitable. This spiritual death is caused by our separation from God. To overcome this obstacle we have to use the Atonement of Jesus Christ in our lives. Its the only way to overcome this. However, its impossible be redeemed from spiritual death against our will. We must choose to accept His grace in our life. Because overcoming spiritual death puts us back in the prescense of God. and if we refuse to reenter His precense, He will not force us.
Thankfully everyone will have a chance to accept Christ and enter into the fulness of His glory.

God doesn't send anyone to hell. It's their sins against Him that do this.

I would judge each person individually, on their merits ... giving preference to those who are faithful to me, kind and respectful to others.
