No, check out the original versions. They've been cleansed to make them more appropriate for young children. Too bad they are never given the true stories when they're older, there are some real life lessons to be learned.

Have you ever read the real, original versions of fairy tales? They read more like horror stories - dark and violent, certainly nothing you'd want to let a child get anywhere near. Don't let the sugar-coated Disney nonsense fool you; real fairy tales are nothing like the smiling, happy stories you're used to.

Fairy tales are just that, fairy tales. But real life doesn't always have a happy ending either, unless you believe in Jesus; then in eternity; one will find happiness.

Even in fairy tales there are comedies and tragedies. Most are comedies, but a few are tragedies.
Blame the author, it is what he wants it to be. Just like this life we live, it is whatever the author decides it to be.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am there you may be also.
John 14:3 - Sounds like a good ending to me.

Read the Genesis of the fairy tale... the story of the Prodigal Son. It was a happy ending as all true stories should be.

I think that's the trick. If you convince yourself of fairy tales which are not real then you are deceiving yourself. It is not reality. We all do it

No, in fact most of the stories originally ended with the death of one or more characters. I believe Cinderella was one of the only ones where no one died (besides her mother) her step-mother was only made to dance in red-hot iron shoes.
