I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of impurities. Impurities come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The impurities get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the impurities by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://diet4cleansing.tripod.com

First of all, I'm trying to start a weight loss group to help ppl trying to lose weight with motivation, tips, and such. If you're interested in joining, email me: iwannaloveyou48@yahoo.com... Here are some tips on a healthy diet and exercise plan:

In addition to 60 minutes of cardio a day (Walking, jogging, swimming, dancing, or jumping rope are great!) I do ab circuits multiple times daily.
*100 crunches
*50 bicycle crunches
*25 leg lifts
*balance your weight on your right elbow (20 seconds)
*balance your weight on your left elbow (20 seconds)
*20 push-ups

Tip: always keep your abs tight (even when sitting or walking)

Diet: eat foods low in sodium to counteract bloating of the stomach; eat healthy food all around

For arms, legs, etc. I use resistance bands, weights, and do squats and lunges (50 lunges at a time and 25 squats at a time).

Small changes are a key to starting a healthier lifestyle
*Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
*Walk up the escalator if there aren't stairs.
*During a break from work, just go outside and walk (you'll be more inspired to keep at it if it's outside on a pretty day) or do a few squats.
*Start small: Do a few crunches/ push-ups each day, and steadily increase the number.
*Even though your schedule is busy, try to fit in at least 30 minutes of walking or some other cardio. (jogging, swimming, jumping rope)
*Turn on some upbeat music and just dance... At home, this isn't embarrassing or anything. Just relax and dance; it's really fun!
*Throw out all the junk food in your house, and don't let yourself buy any... When you're tempted to buy/eat junk food, picture yourself as gorgeous and thin... that'll keep your focus on the goal.
*Switch to whole grain foods; they are much healthier.
*Choose healthier snacks... We're always tempted by sugary and high calorie snacks like we find in vending machines. Instead pack an apple, a rice cake (they are REALLY good), or a nutrition bar.
*Add more servings of fruits and vegetables; it's tough, but they are healthy and can fill you up faster.
*When fixing a meal, prepare everything then put up the bags, boxes, etc. so you won't be tempted by seconds.
*Brush your teeth right before and after a meal. It will curb your appetite.
*Eat slowly and take smaller bites because the "I'm full" hormones will be signalled better.

yes it is! and very hard to do!! not impossible but VERY VERY hard! however, if you wanna lose weight in a month you could just try hard and hope to lose as much as you can, just stick to eating plenty of fruit and veg and boiled food, or stick to 1000 cals a day alternating, days where you eat a bit less than that, like 800 others 1200 and try to get some form of exercises even if its walking everyday! it is not healthy and especilly wen you still in highschool, but from personal experience i would say for a month or so then its ok! im 20 and i am just about trying to lose the 14 pounds i havput on since easter this month! so if you need any help just email me!
actually, how much do you weigh and how tall are you?!!?
lol, i just realised i didnt even ask!!

Who cares what your mom wants. What do you want?
Trying to lose 20 pounds in one month can lead you to do some stupid, unhealthy things.

If you want to try to lose SOME weight, just watch your diet and exercise daily. But, don't set an impossible goal for yourself.

20 pounds in 1 month? No. Try for something more realistic.

Use the 20 minute rule. Eat ones portion-controlled meal then, even if you feel hungry afterwards, wait for 20 minutes to see if you still do. Nine times outside of 10, you won’t. If one does, eat 10 per cent additional.

Reduce the stress. Your stress hormone cortisol is usually activated by extremely low-calorie weight loss plans, intense training, lack of rest and day-to-day worries, which ends in a spike in glucose levels inside your blood. More worryingly, it can contribute to blocked arteries and fat increase around your internal organs, putting you in danger of diabetes and heart disease. The sole prescription for this is to… relax.

cut back on your daily calorie amounts, eat alot of fruits and vegetables, plenty of water, and have the meals smaller and more frequent instead of 3 larger ones maybe 5 or 6 smaller snack like portions, and just because your mom tells you to loose it, it's your decision whether or not you want to, if your comfortable with yourself right now, don't bother doing anything else but what makes you happy.

Always start your meal which has a salad. It'll fill you upward, making you eat less in the actual meal, and it's method fewer calories than typical deep-fried or perhaps cheesy apps.

Set up reminders on your laptop or phone every hour to encourage you to ultimately get up, walk around, and stretch.

Eat in front of a person rather than a screen. It cuts down on mindless eating and making you more accountable for each mouthful.
