It is the beginning of time and nothing exists, nothing! Except you for some reason. I mean, surely it would have been just as easy for an entire universe to pop out of no where than a creator, but you're not going to question your own existence now are you? You could disappear in a puff of logic. Next step: you need a look. Wait, why do I need a look, no one else exists to see me. Oh well, now you want to create a species that looks identical to you for some reason. You're not doing it out of love, can you love a dog without having any idea of a dogs characteristics? No. Then perhaps you got lonely? Maybe you wanted an inferior being to exist in order to make yourself look better by comparison? Perhaps you feed off belief? Whatever selfish reason you had for doing it, it's done now. Several centuries have passed and nobody's worshipping you. Instead they're worshipping some other group of non-existent gods because they're confused about how the universe around them works. Damn...

No, bigirv@sbcglobal.net, I don't, this one only took me five minutes to think up, but thanks so much for your informative input. It portrays the way many atheists view theists perfectly.

God doesn't wear shoes? What does he wear? Nothing? That'd make more sense. Shouldn't all faithful christians then follow his example and be nudists too?

Lucid Interfector, I don't know if I love you or hate you, all I know is that it's a good thing you're not a god then.

Heh....
If I was in god's shoes.... I wouldn't have been so damned non-confrontational. If I wanted people to believe then I would paint a bloody big sign in the sky (made entirely out of glowing plastic salamanders) that said "OI! YOU! BELIEVE IN ME!" .... and it would stay there for a while just to prove it didn't make much sense (i.e. scientifically impossible).
I'd probably try destroying stuff in as many creative ways as possible...... fiddle with the stuff that is already here.... make some people green, others blue, others purple, others with 6 arms and some with 6 eyes. I'd have an actual constant Avatar-based presence.... and do a lot of general-purpose tweaking for the hell of it.
... And eventually I'd get bored and destroy myself... or at least toy with paradox until the Universe couldn't take it any more and shorted out.
But honestly.... I wouldn't do what the christians believe their god is doing now, as that would be totally retarded.

I send a flood. Then, if it happens again, I send my son I pop up out of nowhere to set them straight. If they don't accept my son, I let them go for a few thousand years then get bored and kill all of them and start over. Although unlike god, I won't use all those complex warning signs of the end such as sun going dark or the moon turning to blood. I'll just one day toss everyone into a big microwave and watch them explode while yelling, "I told you not to eat the fruit! I told you not to eat the fruit! What now motherf@$#ers!!" Then I feel sad that I just killed all my friends and create a new world of people that do what ever I want.

What makes you think you can understand things from God's perspective when you claim to know nothing about Him? You dont understand what went on before the world was, you have no concept of the events at the Grand Council. You dont even know it existed. You can't imagine why God would create His children to be like Him.
Maybe if you spent less time with sophistry and trying to mock and tried to learn something instead, your life would be far more rewarding.

Sorry to tell you pal, but people DO worship Him. You may not be one of them, but they ARE out there. Do you know the mind of God? Do you know what His perfect plan is for this world and everyone in it? I think not. Until you know what you're talking about, maybe you need to quit bashing Christians. Go read a Bible and learn exactly why we believe and love a Holy and Just God.

Damn is right. Your writing is more a stream of conscience than a logical presentation.
God is spirit. He existed before he created everything we can observe. He will continue to exist after everything we can observe is gone.
How does a person who has a beginning wear the shoes of someone who is infinite? Poor if at all.
Answer: If the shoes fits wear it; unfortunately, we have no feet big enough to fit in "God's shoes".

God could think of of them as opinionated and self-pitiful. Why could God worry approximately some-ones somewhat insignificant request in accordance with an apprehension of rejection? It sounds slightly like a criminal inquiring for a suspended sentence, yet there is not any justice in that.

I was reading Rick Warren's book of *Purpose driven life* and that gave me a lot of answers for 'What I am here for?'. The main thing is that we are here for Gods purposes. We are made in image of God does not mean that we are identical with God..LOL. That means that we have the knowledge to choose what is right and what is wrong.

Oh hon, don't put me in God's shoes, you honestly don't want me runnin the universe ... I'm not as nice. First time ya'll messed up, BAM, all of you would have been wiped out. I'm not as patient, I'm not as loving, and I certainly wouldn't put up with the bs you folks spew forth.
Just be glad God is who He is, and that I'm not God.

I wouldn't want to be in God's shoes. Too many people don't respect Him and don't believe He exists. Plus, I am not smart enough to design a plan that is perfect like He did. Peace.
