ok i have no doubt that a man called jesus did in fact exist.but my query is this, in those times every white person had a slave, if not they had a respectable place whithin society.so a traditional slave job would be, well everything so how was jesus a carpenter if he was white?? why was there so much prejudice against a man that had done nothing wrong?he spoke of an oppinion which would be simply ignored by most if not all.my personal theory is that 1 person happened to write a story about his friend that a few thousand years later the human race is stupid enough to believe. i dont believe that he could turn water to wine etc, or rose from the dead.and why has this so called savior done nothing for us since his introduction all those ago??there is a war going on and he is sitting on his throne.religion is a concept thought up to make money and to make the lives of people that belive in religion a little easier.this is my oppinion so dont get up in arms about it.

miracles are when a premature baby lives to be 80 and healthy.not what some guy has written about in a book.im not prepared to "open" my heart to something fictional.he was a black man and there was 13 apostles they just left the 13th out coz he was black.they couldnt leave out jesus otherwise what kind of book would that be so they made out he was white.

I agree with you, and i`m ready for the thumbs down, bring `em on. I made a point earlier that the religious maniacs didn`t like, about them using God for answers because it makes life easier. But when it comes to wars etc they then say it`s man`s fault. Well surely they can`t have failed to notice that most wars are caused by religion and in the name of religion.
What i really object to is the view of religious people that you are bad if you don`t believe, i have very high moral standards, i`ve never broken the law, i`ve never hurt anyone, stolen, committed adultery.
God did not create the Earth, science has proven that, but they are so brainwashed or scared or both that they can`t even accept it.
Not too many years ago the so called Christians in England burnt people at the stake if they dared to belong to another religion or say they didn`t believe. How Christian is that!

My opinion .
Firstly you should doubt that Jesus existed . Outside Christian sources there are only a few ambiguous mentions of a Christ , next to nothing that mentions Jesus Christ and Christianity.

Secondly Jesus Christ did many things wrong a few of examples: He forgave sins without permission from the Pharisees to do so. He was guilty of blasphemy – a stoning offence. He worked on the Sabbath .

Jesus was a Carpenter ..
Mark 6:2-3 is the only place in the bible where this is mentioned. The people are either asking if Jesus is a carpenter or if he is the son of a carpenter , since they were surprised to see him Preaching in the Temple on the Sabbath . Obviously the Temple is not going to allow a Carpenter to preach in their Temple . There are about a dozen or so other verses where Jesus is called a Rabbi or Teacher , so that is far more likely Jesus’ job was a Rabbi

Every White Person Had a Slave:
I would like to know your source for this statement . My understanding was that most slaves were White or Euro-Asian , the movies may depict most slaves as Black , but I think the slaves came mostly from the lands that the Romans conquered – mostly around Europe and the Mediterranean . Some people actually sold themselves as slaves because they could have a higher standard of life as a slave than if they had to keep struggling to find housing or food on their own.

First, are you aware that Jesus was not "white"? Are you aware that one of the reasons they included the "begats" in the Bible is to show that Jesus had every race's blood within Him? Not from the father's bloodline, but through the mothers.

Secondly, not every "white" person had a slave, nor did they have a respectable place in society, that is just wrong. Jesus was a carpenter because His father was one. He didn't actively become a carpenter, He just helped His dad that's all.

Third, prejudice against Jesus came from those in His hometown because they knew Him growing up and didn't believe their "homeboy" could actually be the Christ. The Jews hated Him because He dared to speak out against them.

Fourth, the New Testament, which contains all there is about Jesus, was not written by one man. Three men, Matthew, Mark and John, were disciples, true. Luke never knew Jesus, his book was an attempt to disprove Jesus. Paul saw Him in a vision, but never knew Him personally. The other's books are people who never knew Jesus either, but were changed by Him nonetheless.

Fifth, this "so called savior" has done much for me and my family, so that assertation is incorrect, He is very much alive and well.

You need to read up on your eastern history a little more. There is a series if you can get into it by a really cool guy named Dave Stotts called Drive Through History that spans the 2500 year period of biblical history and explains alot. Jesus was of Jewish decent which means middle eastern or aramaic features. Not caucasian. To address your other points I would have to say this...Jesus didn't come to improve the world that we wrecked. He came to be here for each person as in individual so that when all persons who would acknowledge God have done so, when the end comes, there would be an end to all suffering and the world will be made new. Evidences that Jesus knew the world would be in the state that it is in today can be seen throughout the New Testament. Just read Matt 24 "wars and rumors of wars". A verse in Revelation pretty much sums up what I've just said and this statement was given to the disciple John by Christ in the Spirit on the Island of Patmos...

Revelation 11:18
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest "destroy them which destroy the earth."

Paying careful attention to those last words in this verse ask yourself this...2000 some odd years ago, how would this simple man of no scientific education understand or concieve of the concept that there would be entities with the power to "destroy the earth"? Yet, in this modern age...The Beast as it is defined by scripture are all the world (10 nation) governments combined fueled by our economy and runaway thirst for resource consumption and technology that do this very thing...detroy the earth. Jesus has done it all...He created everything, saved everyone who would be saved and will judge everyone who faces judgement and then all that is up for destruction will be destroyed...including war, death, suffering and any and all sin that exists. As well, consider...if religion is a concept thought up to make money...then why are there religions out there that don't require money that were around long before Christianity...Paganism was in fact the first "religion" on the planet...if it weren't for Gods attempts to put a stop to that then people would still be putting babies into sacrificial fire pits and spilling the blood of virgins on alters. Christ asked us to give our tythe and time to the needy...not the greedy, that is our mistake and stupidity so please really think more deeply before forming such blanket opionions without the facts. Love in Christ, ~J~

No need to be mad at god or Jesus, they aren't real.Religion is big business, people will pay big bucks for salvation. My personal opinion is most of the big time preachers who have studied religion aren't anything other than atheist businessmen, who prey and capitalize on the uninformed and ignorant.I cannot really believe that a learned person, after studying the bible in depth, actually believes it,but realizes the great financial benefit of selling salvation. My theory extends all the way to the Pope. They don't actually believe it,but preaching pays much better than construction work

Why do you assume he was white? I am an atheist, but like you I believe some of the historical stuff in the bible and can admit that Jesus did exist. But why would he be white? He wasn't from Nordic or Western European descent as far as we know, he was from the Middle East and therefore of Arabic background (yeah, I know he was Jewish but I'm talking about ethnic background not spiritual).

Yours is not a reasoned argument, it is a rant. Please do not argue for the side of atheism - you're not helping the cause.

What did u think a carpenter does? is it not his daily work on his father. According to jewish, the first Son always takes after the father daily job, until he is 30years of age. When he was 30 years, he left the father business and face his major assignment.

There is so much trouble against him because it has been written about him in the scripture, that he came to his own and his own receive him not.

If you don't believe, what about miracles happening in white man country and so on.

I pray God will show you a sign

So in other worlds you do nto believe in miracles becasue you have not seen one an I correct? I have witness many miralces in my life that was fromt he supernatural. Jesus still does many miracles today. The blind are seeing, the deaf is hearing , tha lame are walking, cancer has disapeared, limbs are grown to thier normal size. You do not have any faith. Jesus before he healed asekd the people do you believe I can do this. becasue he wanted them to believe. And when they did Jesus healed them. Jesus has appeared to me many times, and is more real than you or anyone I have ever met. Jesus is ALIVE. Jesus did rise fromt he dead, God the Father raised him, as death could not hold him down. And one day the dead in Christ will live agian forever. You need to ask Jesus for the Holy Spirit, becaue with out the Holy Spirit brother you cannot believe.and have a relationship with Jesus, and your soul will be dammed. Did you know it is appointed for man once to die then face the Judgement seat of Christ. The end is coming. Jesus said you will hear hof wars and roumours of wars before his return. The floods are increasing all around the world, the end times are upon us and brother you can be iwth Jesus if you give your life over to him, not live how you want, but how God wnats you to live. Men and women all they are about is what is in the life wihtout giving thanks to the one who put them here in the first place. If you need to e-mail me feel free jesusisahoney@yahoo.com.au. god bless and at least you are searching which is good. Leanne

u dont have a matured opinion...first of all, ppl. like jesus r not saviors of humanity...they r but only for those who need to b saved i.e. who really feel that they r in slavery of body and mind....jesus was not there to protect or save ppl. from wars or conflicts...it was not his business....he was there to guide the souls in darkness not to save them from his powers....jesus had xperienced something beyond mind and body...and he wanted the same for ppl. of israel...he knew that life is a misery and slavery and we can get beyond this slavery thru some practises....jesus was calling for this salvation from material slavery not from any other kind....he was not converting water to wine chemically or physically....he was not a chemist....he simply meant that the feeling that ppl. get while drinking wine can b had by drinking water...i.e. life is simple and perfect..there is no need to find alternatives to it...we can have the taste of eternity here and now from the most simple things that we do in daily life......it was the presence of jesus that cud give the feeling of intoxication that can b felt wid wine...wine is just a metaphor or a synonym for jesus's presence.....he was not a magician......he was crucified by the so-called religious leaders of that time coz the business of jesus was a threat to their shops.....it was not jesus that was playing politics.....all religious leaders r not fake....it all depends on the search of seeker wat he seeks...is he seeking shelter, job, food or is he a true seeker......he will get the kind of master that he seeks for.....jesus had only 12 disciples out of which 1 cheated him.....there were not true seekers around him so the result was a crucifixion......
ur theory is half truth thats y i said ur opinion is immatured.....u only mentioned the half reality of corrupt political religiou leaders who xploit the innocent ppl. in the name of religion....thats how u have come to know about all this....but do u think watever u have been told is correct....u have doubts...thats a positive sign but do u think thats the end...dont u think these mysteries need to b known in some other ways from true ppl. ....and how to judge who is true....that depends totally on u n u only.......
