What is the minimum age for purchasing spray paint in the UK?

I'm 16, and I require spray paint in order to complete an art project... no graffitti, honest! However, I need to know if I can actually buy cans of spray paint before I start so I'm wondering what the minimum age is, anyone know it? Thanks

I don't think there is a minimum age. It's just paint! If they are as suspicious as we are tat you have naughty intentions at the store, ask your parents to buy it or ask the seller to call your mum.

No cages, no ID. Color err! colour is allowed aloud.
