I like my corn-on-the-cob grilled, with the shucks pulled away......then butter and place on a hot grill. When the corn is carmelized or a golden brown charred color, it is ready. Pick up a handful of napkins, and keep the salt shaker near by..... Put that pitcher of Ice Tea back on my end of the table please; I don't mind sharing, pull up a chair. lol

boiled. and the way to do it is get the water boiling put in the shucked cobs, return to boil and shut off the heat . they'll be perfect in 4 minutes IF the corn is fresh.

I prefer the cob grilled because it releases the aroma that I really like and very delicious too.

The easiest and most tasty way is to nuke it in the microwave for @2 min. Then smother in butter and salt. MMMM.CORN.
