ummm so im sitting here on the computer... for no reason.
anyways.. all the sudden i have a really sharp beating pain in my chest...the right side of my chest... if you were looking at me it would be your left... i know its not natural... any ideas?
and.. if you can hurry.
im 18, fit, kinda built. any help would be nice....thanks.

well i have had it when i was laying down to... its gotten more frequent lately.

You have some stomach nerves that come up along your esophagus and react like a heart problem, it's usually associated with reflux.
You could also have some muscle pains from working out, you said your "were built" and I'm assuming you work out. Or, it's a mild pleurisy, an infection in the lining, between the rib cage and the internal organs.

If it persists or continues, I'd see a doctor. Most, I should say, not many doctors would worry about your heart unless your family history has a bad back ground with this problem.

It could be the position for which you are sitting at the computer that could be causing this.

Also, gas pains can be sharp and go higher up in the chest area.

I would definitely get in touch with the doctor to see what they say.

If this usually happens while you sit and your body tends to bend in front then you might be blocking your diaphragm.

I am a computer programmer myself and i usually have similar pains when i work for a long time sitting in front of my PC.

I did an X-Ray and showed it to a cardiologist.

Do the same in order to be sure.
