If your spoken English is as good as your written English you can probably do any of the jobs that you've done before in the US. The trick, of course, is getting that worker's Visa. That's something that you have to work out with your employer.

If you're eligible, I would suggest a term of enlistment of the military. You could make quite a bit of money as a linguist (since you probably speak Mandarin:) ), it is also a good way to become a citizen and recieve a better education. Of course, this is the advice I give to pretty much everyone I meet who plans to move here (people normally aren't crazy about the idea). I'm not sure where you would have to go for a trading job though...

China is the greatest country in the world. You should be proud of of citizenship and stay home. As many Chinese people mentioned in this forum: "China will one day control the world". "Chinese people are friendly". "China is much safer than USA".

Who would help to build this great country as everybody wants to leave China?

Many "patriotic" Chinese, especially those frequent contributors in this forum, never want to give up their foreign citizenships. I really don't understand why.

China needs you. Please stay. Those who gives me a thumb down is against the People Republic of China!!

There's plenty of tourism here in the US. Given your prior experience as a tour guide in Beijing, maybe you could write your resume around this experience. You might be able to get a job relating to tourism here in the US. Good luck.

Here's a good sample resume that would be used in America:

You could structure your resume using this one as a template.

First, evaluate yourself see if you have what it takes to go to US. Then, do some research on US see if it is easier or tougher to work.

Many people often think that Canada and US are made of gold, if that were true, I wouldn't be sitting in my office desk right now!!

Make sure you have a solid education to go to US.

You can e-mail your resume to me at texastochina@yahoo.com. I would like to help and own a company that might benefit from your experience.
