Then by your logic the World Series of Poker is also rigged.

Last year I was in Atlantic City playing in a WSOP Circuit Event. There were about 500 or so players in the event I was playing in. During that game I had trips beaten by a flush or straight four times. I also had a boat beaten by quads. Every time I built up a nice stack someone who was not getting the right pot odds would call me down and get lucky to hit a flush.

Towards the end of the day I got bad beat again and went on a little bit of tilt. I ended up pushing all in with A6 of clubs. I was instantly called by a guy with pocket aces. The flop brought a six, and the river brought another six giving me trips and knocking him out of the tournament.

I'm sure he went home telling his friends about a fish who cracked his aces and sent him to the rail.

So do you think that the dealer who works at Caesars rigged the game for me? Do you think he decided that he should stack the deck in my favor? Of course not, it was a simple bad beat.

In your example you were a 91% favorite before the flop. But this still means that one in every ten times, you are going to lose. It sucks when it happens, but I'm sure that if you have been playing poker for any length of time you can recall situations when you have been an undog in a hand and gotten lucky.

Full Tilt is one of the most respected companies online for poker. They have no reason to bad beat you in an $8 tournament. So they throw in a few bad beats and the whole things is over quicker and they make the same money they would have done five minutes sooner? Is that worth losing their entire business for? Don't you think that by now a programmer who knows they rigged the site would have come forward and blown their cover?

It's not rigged, you just got unlucky. If you don't believe that, stop playing poker online.

Sh*t happens buddy. If you haven't seen something like this in a live game, you haven't played much live poker. This is the exact reason most decent players (mostly in ring games, but in tournaments too) don't put all their chips in before the flop unless they have too, even with AA. People flop trips, flushes, and straight all the time. Ever read Super Systems? Doyle wrote of a hand where he had quad aces and got beat when the other guy rivered the royal.

Get over it, or quit playing. If the $8 you lost isn't a minor chink in an $800 or more bankroll, you're playing short anyway, and that's probably why you're so pissed.

Bad beats, suck-outs, and runner runner ugly suck-outs are all part of the game, so get used to it. I can get sucked out on all day long, and as long as i have put my money in ahead then i am happy with myself. This is because after all the money has went into the pot, there is nothing i can do about it at all. I know that the odds in the end will turn my way, i want other players to make as many mistakes as they can, I'll take getting my money in good all the time. So just say nice hand out loud, and call him a donkey in your head, and just move on to the next hand, because bad beats happen everyday.

Its rigged in tournaments. The software is designed to allow the larger stacks to advance. That way the short stacks can rebuy, play in another tourney or better yet, in a raked ring game. Good luck at the tables, LMAO.

No, that's not "B.S." That's poker. As one very knowledgeable and capable player on this forum once stated, if you're tired of the "BS", then you're tired of poker.

And no, online poker is not rigged. It's an illogical idea.

awww.. one hand goes bad and you think its rigged?! I've seen worse at the live tables. I think Full Tilt has better things to do than to take your $8

this honestly isn't that bad... last night one of my friends was at a ft on pokerstars in 1st place with 300k in chips... 4k/8k blinds + 800 ante... gets 99.... raises to 8k, guy reraises to 32k, he calls, flop q69, he checks, guy bets 40k, he pushes, the guy has a set of 6s.... and the river was a 6.... that was a $4,000 outdraw my friend...

of course it is rigged. not by the poker site but by other players using robot computers. ever seen a computer that plays chess at a way higher level than you could ever play chess. well, they make poker progams that play poker also. if you are playing for decent stakes at least one "player" is probably a computer program.
