used to keep it under the sink, until my kids came along ... got tired of having to practically crawl in the cabinet to clean up ... now i keep it under the microwave counter, so i have easy access to the wall behind the trash can - no cabinet to climb in! LOL

I wouldn't keep my bin under my sink - it would encourage my teenage kids to not take ANY care when throwing the rubbish , so then I would have to crawl into the bin space to clean it - No thanks
Mine is at the wall space between the pantry and the fridge (extremely handy when having to get rid of stuff - and close enough to the dishwasher that I can just turn around and drop the food scraps in) but even then the kids don't take care about actually getting the rubbish in!
Oh, and I have little bins in the cupboards in the bathroom AND the laundry. Very convenient and actually easy to keep clean. Why the laundry? Where else would I put the empty soap boxes and fluff from the dryer and the washing machine - and the occassional item that needs throwing out?

I think it's okay to keep trash cans under the sink provided that you regularly sanitize the area to prevent the invasion of disease-causing bugs like flies and cockroaches. If you have a backdoor at the kitchen, you can place the trash can near the door so you will not forget to throw out the trash. Just make sure that the trash can had a tight lid to prevent the smell from contaminating the air in the room. Hope this helps you!

I do keep my trashcan in the corner of the wall.
However, i have friends who keep their trashcans in special drawers under the sink that pull out and look normal.
I have also seen trash cans just under the sink behind doors.
The weirdest of all is a trashcan under the sink but there is a hole cut on top of the counter where the trash goes in. You have to have a special kind of counter for that to work.
I prefer the corner of the room however because well... I don't have young siblings that throw their stuff on the wall. :D

I keep mine under the sink because its easier to grab it when I need to empty out dishes from the fridge, or clear peelings from the cutting board. Also, it tends to keep any smells more localized.
And finally, it's partially a habit from when I lived with several inventive dogs (and cats) who thought the trash can was an extension of their food bowl. Besides, I don't have any space for it in the open.

I keep mine against the wall right next to the bathroom in the kitchen. I was always raised to have trash in the kitchen & the bathroom.

I wasn't born during the Civil Rights technologies, although of direction, i found out approximately it with the help of way of my parents & grandparents. I even have have been given to declare that I fully believe you, and that grew to become into as quickly as important written. there is not any longer something racist or ignorant approximately what you wrote (to no longer me, besides). definitely, i could no longer believe you better. P.S. - basically so which you comprehend, now no longer all rappers placed on minstrel shows. basically those that are making the large greenbacks and get the MTV time. There are some that are very conscious artists. although, they won't sing and dance for the surprising greenback, so as that they are no longer getting the MTV exposure and that they do no longer gets a commission a similar.

Mine is too big, so it is centrally located near the sink & fridge, with a lid. When I didn't have kids, it was under the sink.
Tell them to be neater, it makes a much bigger mess under the sink because you tend to forget about it!
