Bibles are typically found in their own section of a bookstore, which is appropriate, regardless of what you may feel about their credibility. They may be found in a section consisting of various religious titles and subjects, which is a legitimate subject area.

I don't happen to agree with you that the Bible is fiction. In fact, even if you disagree with its basic premises, the Bible is a combination of historical, philosophical and poetic themes, and if part of it were fiction the fiction category would be too narrow for such a book.

Books are categorized in bookstores to make the search easier for potential customers.

I recognize that your question is intended to be flippant, and its presence suggests you are an atheist or agnostic. You are entitled to your views, but you would better serve your fellow humans by being a little more respectful of people who are religious, even if you aren't.

Actually, it is a good source, perhaps the best source of ancient Middle Eastern history. The people, nations, kings, cultures, customs, etc that it mentions are true! Other historical sources and literally millions of archaeological artifacts verify the Bible account.

You can compare this to the Book of Mormon that has no historical proof to back it up. The Book of Mormon was simply invented in modern times.

[2] Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
[3] And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

You don't have any proof of that. In fact, archaeological evidence has actually confirmed what has been said in the Bible. If you have undeniable proof that it is fiction, then we can consider this. However, the proof points the other way, so you can't make that claim.
