yes. I had one years ago. There is no plug. The mechanism is a pain to get apart but I did it and there is no way to increase the capacity.

Yes. Any gun that can be used on migratory waterfowl ( duck, goose ) is limited to 3 shells total. 1 in the chamber and 2 in the magazine - Federal law. You can remove the plug in the magazine but then you better never take it hunting or it could get you in trouble.

i have a Win model 1500 XTR. it's the same gun as yours but with some engraving on the receiver and checkering on stock. it only holds 3 2.75" shells. good for upland game but not for waterfowl.

yes, it's a pretty good shotgun over all. it was designed with the hunter in mind, so it was made to meet the federal guidlines on how many shells can be carried in it (3) while hunting.

Nice weapon....but it was intended for wetlands birds, not for fighting off zombies. Three is the legal and physical limit.
