Does this shock you? This seems to show what I've been saying all along and what the Quran actually says when everything is in context. Don't harm non muslims, leave them to worship as they will, only fight in self defense of a physical attack against you. Does this say anything to you?

'Thus, Islam guaranteed non-Muslims full rights with Muslims to their lives, their freedom, and their possessions. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, He who ill-treats a non-Muslim subject or overburdens him will find me his opponent. Islam allowed non-Muslims to live on Islamic lands with respect and honor. It did not impose segregation, but instead permitted non-Muslims to share fully in Muslim society and to participate in activities among the Muslims, in accordance with Allah's instruction in the Quran:"

Proud Muslimah,
This particular verse I had not read/heard but I knew that much of what has been said by those who are violent in the name of Islam are not True Muslims. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you,

It would not surprise me if this were true, however without doing the research myself I cannot say for certain if it is (it is stupid to simply take someone's word on these matters). From what I've heard others say though, the Quran is a relatively peaceful book, though I've also heard others say it is weird or violent. But to answer your question, no I have not heard of a part of the Quran saying this.

Yes I have heard it from some preachers and read it in the holy Qur'an and Hadith and also some books about Islam.

Yes. Compare and contrast that with several passages in the Qur'an which inveighs Muslims to do dirt against infidels. Also take note of its attitude toward slavery, and to its erroneous prohibition of lending money at interest.
