I always have a hard time keeping the conversation going after I get through the name exchange, I go from "Hey, my names Chris.. What's yours?" ...kinda try to get a background of the person, where they are from. but after that im usually stuck with an *awkward silence* and about 10 thousand thoughts going through my head but nothing to say.

Always try to keep up with current events both in the world and in your community. Always be in the know about what band is playing where, what movies are being rated the best, if there are concerts, festivals, live bands, etc... going on in or near your community.

What do you think about this? Have you seen this band? Someone told me that ther is this really awesome band playing here. Have you ever seen them play? Have you seen this movie? What did you think about it? Have you ever gone to that festival? What do they have there?

Try to ask a lot of discussion questions instead of yes or no questions.

Talk to yourself in the mirror before you leave to go out, and pretty soon it will all come naturally.

believe in yourself chris as this will show in your speech and give you more points, next thing to do is see how she reacts, if she replies in a welcoming manner like: well, am Babie, thanks. say, how do you do? then she will explain. dont feel preasured to always say something as this may cause panic.

now, look around you and then back to her, tell her she looks good if she does and explain to her that you dont mean to make her feel unease. offer something to drink then as about her..her personal life, like ' i would like to know you better, i apologise in advance if i may seem so up front, i was wondering if i could know you better? if she has no biggy then ask her about her family? school or work? her favourate sport if shes atheletic, do not forget: try say something about yourself every 2nd time she answers as this will create a window where you dont have to ask but she will just tell you.

take your time, she will be patient if she really cares. try not to think about failing her as this may take away all your thoughts away, causing your to panic. women dont bite, they need a man who can listen and understand them.use the information she gives to create things to talk about especially when you both have sumthing alike. good luck.

Compliment her and ask her if she's doing anything tomorrow or Friday or whenever, then ask her if she wants to grab a bite to eat then. If that works then you can talk about hobbies and stuff. What kind of music she likes, what does she like to do, what kind of sports does she like, etc. Talking with girls is one of lifes toughest things to do. Much luck to you.

say the most embarrassing thing running through your head.

it will put her at ease. Most people aren't worried about how you look, but how they look themselves, so if you make a fool of yourself, they will like you.

the key is to bring something up that you both could relate to. That way you have something to add, and they have something to add.... when youre down talking about that, bring up something else that you both could relate and talk about that.... until you have nothing else to say about that topic..
