It should indicate on the ticket that the officer wrote as to who to pay and the amount. It depends on the State where the alleged infraction occurred as to the amount (some States as little at $25 just to pay the ticket). In most States, a seatbelt infraction is not any point on your license for insurance purposes.

If you are not getting through on the number on the ticket, contact the County Courthouse in the County where the ticket occurred and they can direct you to the proper department to issue a money order or cashier's check to (no Courthouse will accept a personal check...too risky).

It's more than $50 if your in CA...if they give you a date to appear on the ticket, and, you don't get a letter stating fine amount in the mail...show up...an FTA is at least $140 more...plus they suspend your license...and it is more points on insurance...if they mail you an amount pay it, or call the court before that date...they will usually tell you the amount, and let you pay it without going.

If you weren't told the amount of the fine, I'm assuming you are required to appear before the fine is set. Most states are starting to crack down on seat-belt infractions, but it probably won't cost over $50. Unless you really ticked someone off.

Yes, just call the court house, or look on the ticket itself, there is usually a court address that you can send the money too!

there a spot on the ticket that says "option to prepay" if the officer marked it then you can pay without going to court... if he dind't then the ticket is actually a summons.. and yes you have to go to court.. or else your seat belt ticket just became a felony fail to appear.

Unless it states on the citation that you must appear. You should be able to pay before the court date. There should be a phone number listed on the citation that you can call.
