Why are people so scared to call this man what he is? YES! He's a heretic! Now, some people might wag their finger at me and say, "You shouldn't be judging." To that, I say doesn't the Bible clearly warn us against false prophets and doesn't it instruct us to TEST the spirits to see whether they are from God? (1John 4:1)

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." -Matthew 7:15

If someone claims God has told them something is going to happen and that event never happens, then that person is a false prophet - no if's and's or but's about it! Benny Hinn's prophecies have failed, so clearly he is NOT speaking for God. Think people! If a prophecy never comes to pass, who's the liar? Your only options are God or Benny Hinn. And we all know God is not a liar. Please tell me you aren't going to choose the words of Benny Hinn over the Word of God?

In claiming he speaks for God when prophesying about events that never happen, can't you see he's making God out to be a liar? Some of you have said his teachings sound biblical. The man may preach from the Bible, but remember, even Satan knows scripture and how to pervert it. It only takes a little lie mixed in with some truth to make that lie more palatable and easier to swallow. (2 Peter 2:1)

Benny Hinn calls himself a "little messiah" and has claimed that Jesus would be physically appearing at his crusades and that his audience will physically see Jesus standing on his stage. How could any Christian possibly defend that statement? That statement is clearly at odds with the following warning from Jesus:

"At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man." -Matthew 24:23-27

This is what Benny Hinn has to say about those who criticize him:

"You know, I've looked for one verse in the Bible -- I just can't seem to find it -- one verse that says, `If you don't like 'em, kill 'em.'' I really wish I could find it! ...Sometimes I wish God would give me a Holy Ghost machine gun. I'd blow your head off!"

That doesn't really sounds like someone who's filled with the love of Christ, now does it? If any good has come from Benny Hinn's crusades, it's because God is working DESPITE Binny Hinn.

No! When someone does not do things our way and in accordance to our church's teaching, he is a heretic. This same Benny Hinn would be the most Godly man you have ever seen if he was associated with your denomination. The Church is beating up on him more than the world, and that is really a shame.

A few year ago, I did not like him because of my pastor. My pastor verbalized his disapproval. One day, he came on T.V,. and I was so disgusted with him. Long story short, the Spirit of God motioned me to stop judging. I went to his services and was totally blown away with the order in which things are operated. It is not like what you think you see on television. My friend also did not like him, and God told her the same plus she was healed through his ministry.

This is the issue. I do not agree with some of the things he does, like pushing folk too hard. He is not necessary because I have seen them fall by the thousands and he was no where in sight. I do not agree with other things as well. Be that as it may, your pastor would also turn me off because he is human. We should never become the devil's advocate and make his job easier.

Go to one of his meeting then email back.

Benny Hinn has made specific prophetic statements that never came to their fruition.

As has Hal Lindsey.

Prophesy in the name of the Lord better come true, or you prove yourself no prophet of God.

That makes him a heretic.

According to the Catholic Church yes. But then so was Jerry Falwell and Billy Graham and Pat Robertson. Usually only the Catholic church accuses people of being Heretics. I personally think that He is wrong on several points of belief, but having said that I still believe that he is going to go to Heaven because he believes that Jesus is the only way to Heaven and he professes faith in Him. I would say that Heretics are not going to go to Heaven because their error of belief leads them astray. Mormons in my view would be Heretics as would Jehovah's Witnesses. Their views fall too far outside of Christian thought for them to believe that Jesus is the only Son of God and the Only way to Heaven.

Having said that I believe that most members of both the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses are good people who do not try to harm others. It is just that their ideas about God and Jesus don't line up with the Bible.

Hinn, who claims to make contact with the dead, is a controversial figure in the west where he has been criticized for misinterpreting the Bible and prophesizing the appearance of Jesus at his gatherings. His claims of miraculous healing are also treated with skepticism.

Benny Hinn is not a heretic because he basically preaches the Gospel and exalts the name of Jesus. His personality may not appeal to you, but you need to check on the fruit of his life. God has used his ministry to touch the lives of millions. I do not know him personally, but I do know the God he serves.

Benny Hinn's a scaretic. He's just plain scary and a seasoned showman/mesmerizer/liar/thief. So yep, he's a freak.

I haven't heard everything he ever said, but whatever I have heard from him has been Biblically sound. I have listened to him on and off for over twenty years and from what I can see he preaches Christ.
Sad what jealousy is provoked whenever a man has a touch of the power of God in his life.
