It depends. If you are 2 adults, then no. My husband is 11 years older than me. We are happy and in love. If you are talking about a child with an adult, then yes, it's too much. (example: a 14 year old with a 23 year old)

The critical age is that of the youngest person. Under 18 for either party and having sex may be statutory rape...in some jurisdictions. Also, there are inappropriate age differences but again, it depends on where you are. If she is 50o and he is 59, I doubt that anyone would comment on the difference. If she is 14 and he is 23 people would certainly get upset. So look at the youngest age and the local laws and then consider the social norms of your community...or the social group in which you intend to live.

My parents have a 9 year age difference. But it depends on how old you are. Like, if you're 13 and the other person is 22, that isn't okay.

No!! If 40s is the new 30s, then by logic, 9 is practically 2 or 3.. seriously, if the feeling is mutual, why does it matter?
That works only if you're over 20..

It depends on how old you are. If you are 16 and he's 25, then yes, it's too big. But if you are 31 and he's 40, not a big deal. It's about maturity more than anything.

I don't see a problem as long as it's legal. And frankly, the older both people are the more mature the relationship will be. Example 25 and 35.

DAMN . . 9 years! ! . Dats a lot of time. well if u really like the person then no. but you'll probably have different opinions on things like children. He's probly a grandfather or doesnt wanna have any more kids.. and you're young and wanna have a child. Plus he'll always be joking and saying you're a little kid, or you dont know anything / /immature
