NO. A true Bible scholar would never fall for the false doctrines of the cults. That is why these cults have their own publications that they put on par, or even above Scripture. They convince the unweary that they cannot interpret God's word with out the assistance of their publications and that Bible reading alone will be too confusing for them. They convince people that they are too ignorant to comprehend the simple message of the Gospel without their help. It's really sad, not to mention intellectually demeaning.

Can't speak for the Mormons...No one has EVER become a Jehovah's Witness, or even closely adopted their theology by reading the Bible alone.

I feel that some of the beliefs of the JWS are questionable, but the true part of being a Christian is witnessing to other people the power of Christ in your life and having a personal relationship with Jesus by prayer. I am currently Non-denominational (don't go to church) because I work weekends, but I live a Godly example, and always try to share the gospel.

Yes, but the quality of the bible is important.
Yes, but you would have to also avoid all the 'bible dictionaries' that are out there.
By reading the bible only you will come to know the God and Father of Jesus Christ.
(Rom 15:5,6; Eph 1:3,17; 1 Pet 1:3; Rev 1:6; Rev 3:12)
I called on a gentleman once, who said all we could use is the bible.
When I arrived for the discussion, he pulled out his 'bible study' notes from his church's bible classes.
So he wasn't using the bible 'only', but what he had been taught by others.

I suppose it might be possible, but how would they relate to anyone else with limited exposure to knowledge of other things? Or do you mean reading cover to cover the Bible and reading parts of other books?
Jehovah values education. He gave us curiosity for learning. I can't imagine not reading and learning as much as I can. Also, to get accurate knowledge of the Bible, one needs Bible aids to group things and connect them. It can be done on your own but, it is difficult. Why make a meal from scratch when you can get it ready-made? Of course, you must make sure it is telling the truth by comparing it with the Bible.
This agrees with the Bible's view. "Make sure of the more important things, hold fast to what is fine" The Bereoans had Paul and Silas telling them spiritual things, but they "with greatest eagerness of mind, continually searched the scriptures to see if these things were so." This delighted all the Christian congregation of brothers for not just accepting without checking. (1Thess. 5:21; Acts 17:11)
We also must be careful of not just "having a form of godly devotion, but proving false to its power; and from these turn away." (2Tim. 3:5) What we believe must be the way Jehovah approves or it is for nothing. After all, only God gives life, men sure can't.
