This may sound silly, but I think my calling was to be a mother. I have never been happier with my life than I have been since I became a mother. Being able to look at the face of my little girl every day gives me the greatest joy.

theWord: where did I say that I didn't have a job? I have a very successful career, actually.

yeah, I wish I could sit around all day and play w/ my kids too, but ahhhh SOMEONE'S gotta bring home the bacon huh? Frankly, I find that many girls these days who decide to become housewives have found that it's easier to give up on their career goals all the while using their 'motherhood was my calling' as an excuse to do so and still maintain face.

I think my callling in life is to show people a very special part of them that only I can show them. Sounds weird but I think God made each person with a uniqueness within their personality that for some reason can and will make a difference in the lives the people around them if they are willingly to share that part of themselves with others.

Just curious, if you're so happy, why is your avatar so mad??

Do I only get to pick one? I think we all go through different "seasons" in our life where one aspect or another seems the most important, or our "calling" in life. That call changes with time. Enjoy the blessings of the day for tomorrow will bring new challenges and new blessings!

To help not hinder to heal and to teach people that knowledge is something in life that can not be taken from you
And also to search and research until you find the answers to your questions open you mind for your soul to grow : )
Meditation is the best way to connect directly to God

I think it changes. God seems to call me into different areas according to seasons. (I don't mean like winter, spring etc)

I mean I have had lots of different callings on my life at varying times. At the moment its to be a great supportive wife and friend to my hubby, a good mother, a supportive helpful daughter, a caring, listening friend to someone else, and the list goes on....

I think God has a plan for our lives and we need to seek Him about it and make sure we're where he wants us to be according to His calling.

That is such a wonderful thing to say!! There is nothing greater or more important than being a mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your daughter is fortunate to have you for her mother:)
I feel my calling in life is to teach; I teach children who have learning disabilities and/or Autism. Seeing them grow, mature, and learn makes my day, my week, my month, my school year:)
