Imagine if we could grind sunlight up in a powder and snort it up our noses!

If the green skin included chlorophyll, and our cells contained chloroplasts (the cell component in plants and green algae that acts as the conversion factory for turning light energy into chemical energy), then, yes. I wouldn't exactly say "eating" sunlight, but the essence is still there.

Aren't you glad a biology teacher was trolling R&S tonight...?

Hum Photosynthesis....If we had green skin that worked like plants we might be able to reverse the greenhouse gasses problem○

But it sounds too much like some swamp monster big foot thing.
It will never happen.... Unless Monsanto tries some genetic alterations and it gets out of the lab...♦

Green skin does not a plant make. We would need to develop the chlorophylic cells used in photosynthesis. We could possibly manage it by reconfiguring our ribosomes but that is genetic engineering beyond what we can do now.

That would be awesome! Cooking meals three times a day, plus having to eat the food, is such a waste of time. Think of all the other stuff we could get done!

Well...it depends...would our green skin have Chloroplasts in it?

If not, and it was just green, than no...

Actually, my high school biology teacher said there was a lab where they're trying to get that to happen with rats...pretty cool I think....not having to eat food and all...
