Since gratitude is an action how or what do you do to keep gratitude? I have a little tiny home and am so happy to have a small home in the ghetto. I know that if I concentrated on the fact that I don't have a mansion I would be ungrateful about my humble home.

All the things we own will one day still be here while we go on to be judged by God. I look at my life, as it stands now, and I am thankful for everything, even all the bad things that has happened to me in my life. Because I have grown emotionally stronger. All the good things, like my home and my kids and all the junk I own... I know that there are a lot of people that don't have as much. Donating my things to Good Will and places like that, makes me feel greatful that I can give what I have to others and still have some left for my family!

I like your attitude, I think you're on the right tract,.

What I do to stay grateful is constantly acknowledge the many blessings and achievement that God has allowed me to have and look at the good things rather than the bad.
If I spend time focussing on the bad I won't be able to recognize the good, even if it hit me in the face.

Great to know you have a house. I don't! I still live with my parents, and cannot afford buying a house yet. But I stay GRATEFUL by helping my parents, brothers and sisters (all the 8 of them!) , go out volunteering at the community centres :) I also thank the Lord everyday for my borrowed time here on earth (^_^)v

Jesus was born in a stable. How much more humble can you get?

Blessed are those who are poor in spirit as they shall share in the kingdom of God. There is a woman in Matthew who had nothing and God blessed her.

Prayer is a mighty source of power. Use it with a honest heart. God will supply. But do not pray for things of this earth, but for things of His spirit.

Because Solomon asked God for wisdom, He gave him riches. This does not mean God will give us riches just because we ask for wisdom. He will not give us more than He knows we can handle.

God loves a grateful heart and your attitude is most grateful. When I find myself grumbling about what I don't have, I try to remember to thank God what I DO have! It is so easy to take for granted the blessings in our lives.

..... G R A T E F U L .....

Are you goofy... I'm naturally grateful as a reaction to the things in my life that I see as positives... augmentation is a big plus to being grateful.... right...

Tell me... if you spent day after day up to you neck in dung, would you be grateful that it wasn't any deeper? Well... of course you would. And now tell me what else you'd be grateful for if that was really the case of your daily life.....?

Staying grateful for the sake of staying grateful is nuts... isn't it...

I stay grateful by remembering where I am today in comparison to last year. I pay attention to others who do not have even the small amount that I have.
