108 is not too much for 12 year old girl. The best way to lose weight is to eat healthy (from the food groups) and exercise.

I knew a girl who is 15 and about 108 lbs.
Well, it really doesn't depend on age, more like height.
If you're an average-heighted girl at 108 lbs, you are at a healthy weight. As you grow mature and grow taller, you may gain a few pounds but that is definitely expected because your weight will compensate for your height.

108 is definately normal for a 12 year old! You are completely fine, but if you do want to lose weight anyway, play a sport and eat healthier..do not go crazy and stop eating as much as you did! Just look for better foods. =]

the dieticians are all so focussed on weight and height that they forget about fitness, which I think is much more important. If a person can do everything they need to without getting too tired then they are fit for their way of life. Walking a mile or two, playing tennis, doing the housework, climbing the stairs etc. Over here in France they say "bouge" which means "keep moving".
PS Most of us need to cut down on the crisps, sweets and fizzy drinks.

Do not stress over your weight, you are far too young. Your body is going through so many changes and will continue to.
Like others have said just make smart choices about what you eat and be active when you can. Make it fun, find something you enjoy. Hey walk around the mall! I am sure you have seen ads and commercials...."MOVE...10 minutes, 3 times a day"

Your weight should be determined by your height not your age! Don't let concepts of "fat" and "skinny" determine your self worth, focus on scultping your morals and personality, not your abs.
