This is a link to a piece of sculpture that was created to illustrate the possibilities that arise out of using interspecies organs for medical purposes. I found it.....interesting. Consider yourself forewarned.

i think it'd be kind of cool to be able to see in four colours rather than the usual three, or to have a backup heart, or to have a functioning vitamin c biosynthetic pathway, or to eat sunlight as plants do. there are so many possibilities, most of which don't even require a significant change in outward appearance. the strong negative reaction of some people to trivial and obviously beneficial technologies is puzzling for me.

I'm not sure that spiritual implications is the right place to start. It's interesting that she used pigs. Pigs already have the highest amount of human DNA. I wonder if that was intentional. The myths of legend are proving to be actual ancient history. The oldest writings tell us of 2 brother gods that made earth what it is and created humans. The scientist brother made many fantastic, wonderful, awesome and hideous creatures with his experimentation. I really don't know what the spiritual implications would be, unless of course there aren't any.
True spirituality is unknown to us. What it was in the beginning has been lost. Spiritual didn't have the same meaning then that it does now. The gods taught mankind to worship them with their own brand of religion. I don't think religion existed before then. More like an ego trip for the technologically advanced. This of course had nothing to do with spirituality.

I can't be sure what God's position is on this subject I am however sure of mankind. Along with the marvels of medicine man will continue to explore and create that which shouldn't be created it's never a question of will mankind do it, it's always a question of when.

Just look a the TV program Future Weapons and see just how advance we've become at slathering lots, and lots of people with pin-point accuracy. Just like the killer bee we won't stop creating no matter what, If we could effectively bring back the dinosaurs you'd better believe they'd be here.

My husband nephew had to have goat's, pig's something another put inside his body to cure his problem. It was done in England.

I think, it is not much different as eating, we can put animals in our stomach, raw ,rare or cooked.
What about put metals inside our body for meadical reason?

I believe, this body is just a box or garbage can. You can almost fill it with anything .

Have you ever wonder to see :
the same body, the minute he was dying and the minute he died.
He hasnot lost any particle of the body but in one something still moving and in the other's not.

Also,
Have you ever lost somebody you love?
What is that you remember most and cry for? The body or the love and care?

I can go on and on again hermit........

But my husband nephew change not , personality wise, accept he was cured physically.

That was . . . interesting. Actually bizarre. I don't know that there are any spiritual implications because having a new body part doesn't change the essence of a person.

The spiritual implications of genetically modifying people are that God didn't do it right the first time.

Whether or not even *chimeras* are ultimately developed is of absolutely no concern to me, spiritually or otherwise. I welcome any and ALL scientific advancements and progress.

To "Paulie D." -- He clearly didn't. Or we'd be able to fly like birds, see as sharply as eagles, and have supplemental gills for breathing underwater, among other things. Perhaps someday...

Don't we have enough problems without dreaming up new ones?

A Pure Heart
Just like there are twenty major unlawful states of the heart for the person travelling the Path [to Allah], there are twenty major wajib states of the heart:

fearing Allah (one reason for it is that Allah's punishment is very severe),
hoping in Allah (one reason for it is that Allah's mercy is very expansive),
being patient with trials, being patient with using material blessings moderately and not letting them make one into a tyrant, being patient in continuing to obey Allah day after day, and being patient in staying away from acts of disobedience (one reason for it is knowing that patience is rewarded much more than most other acts of worship),
thanking Allah with one's tongue by praising Him, with one's heart by recognizing the blessings as being from Him, and with one's body by obeying Him (one reason for it is that Allah increases in good those that are thankful),
depending on Allah in obtaining one's benefits and in turning away harm (two reason for it are

knowing that everything is in Allah's control and
He does not thwart the servant who depends on Him),
consigning or entrusting one's affair entirely to Allah and giving up one's own preference (one reason for it is knowing that the preference of Allah is better for the servant than his preference for himself (as Allah knowsthe consequences of possible situations better than His creation)),
thinking the best of and expecting the best from Allah (two reasons for it are

knowing that Allah is Generous and Merciful and
knowing that Allah deals with people as they expect Him to deal with them),
surrendering oneself to Allah's command and leaving arguing with Him (one reason for it is knowing that Allah is the Supreme Lord and He alone has authority even over our own lives (as we are only slaves to Him whether we like it or not)),
becoming internally happy with Allah's decree which is more than just surrendering to Allah's command (two reasons for it are

loving Allah and letting this love blind one from seeing or feeling the undesirable things He sends and

knowing that Allah is wise in what He does and in the end what He does is better),
being sincere/true to Allah by performing acts of worship only for Him without ulterior motives (one reason for it is knowing that Allah is aware of people's
