Bunnies can take care of themselves. If your bunny feels threatened, it will jump sideways and kick the puppy with it's back feet. We had a large rabbit that lived in our backyard with our dog. They would play and play. The rabbit would come up to the dog and sometimes they would lay down by one another. If the dog wanted to play, and Honey didn't, he would run and jump in the air and kick the dog. It must have hurt, because she would leave the rabbit alone until he was ready to play. If this is a grown rabbit, you might want to be careful of your puppy. Rabbits will bite, scratch, and kick if feeling threatened.

The bunny probably doesn't like the dog barking at it, but I'm sure the dog is having a blast.

You should probably keep the dog away from the bunny, especially if you are only babysitting... the dog probably won't harm it, however rabbits can sometimes have heart attacks if they are scared.

Some breeds are meant to hunt bunny, so really know your breed :)

I have a Bulldog and a bunny and they love each other, they are both lazy and laid back and cuddle together...

Though it doesn't sound like the bunny is very pleased with your dog... he/she seems to b exhibiting a behavior known as "boxing"
Boxing: rabbit stands on hind legs with their dukes up and throws punches. Translation: "One step further and I'll punch your lights out."

I have attached the link for the site that goes into all the different behaviors, you ca read through it and get a better idea of how he/she feels about your dog, but to me it sounds as if he/she is not pleaed!

Keep the puppy away from the bunny. You are stressing it out, and its trying to defend itself based on the actions you described.

Even though we forget sometimes, the animals don't, so a quick reminder:
To a dog rabbit=prey.
To a rabbit dog=big scary thing that wants to eat me.

be careful, they can accidently kill the bunny. I wouldn't do it if I were you. Mine died this way.
