Although Athiests don't believe in God, they are still creations of God and could one day turn to God so why condemn them to hell? Who are we to judge first of all?
Note: The bible says in Mark 10: 31 "But many that are first shall be last; and the last first."
So they could come to Christ one day and make it into heaven as quick as you do, so please stop telling people that they are going to hell. That looks bad on our part. God calls us to be Holy so...
Follow peace with ALL men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: (Hebrews 12: 14)

Christian Soldier Eph?
Are we God? it seems you are making an excuse that since God condemns to hell, then we can too. Are we God? you are quick to justify condemning to hell but you forget "Who are we to judge anyone" when we still have sin in us?

Hi..I agree with you 100%...if you really go back and read most of the questions , you will find it very, very few and far between instances of people telling Atheists that they are going to hell..it is just something they keep repeating..
It is our job to tell them the truth about Jesus and that he is the Only way to heaven...which we can do without bringing hell into it, because most of them know that we believe without Jesus that is where people will go...I like to think that they will see the truth like what you said so I confess that I will see them in Heaven...not in Hell. We are to confess what we want to happen and what we believe He can do..because we are not the judges..

Athee (moonunit) - You are to be respected and loved as God's creation - no matter what "guarantees" you make concerning your non-belief. I can be your friend, care about your life, and care about your soul and love Christ all at the same time.
By not "following peace with ALL men" (and women, of course) - I am condemning myself to never seeing the Lord.
So, although I think we can truly co-exist - I must admit, some of my reasoning is self-interest. I want to see the Lord.
But really - most Christians are not nearly so judgmental as you see here on Y/A.
God Bless (no matter what your belief, or lack thereof)

Dude if you read your Bible you'd know that God condemns people to hell.
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Rev. 21:8
The fool has said in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt,
They have done abominable works,
There is none who does good. Psalm 14:1
Some former atheists have turned to Christ. Kirk Cameron is a perfect example. But if they don't the Bible says they will end up in hell.
Hell is part of the Gospel message buddy! Are you a Christian or a false convert? Not to preach the Gospel looks bad on our part. If we don't talk about the reality of hell then we make God look like a liar.
God can't lie. Titus 1:2
Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 2 Cor. 13:5
You can find the Gospel at http://www.needgod.com
The world often takes this verse out of context and uses it to accuse Christians of being "judgmental" when they speak of sin. In the context of the verse Jesus is telling His disciples not to judge one another, something the Bible condemns (Romans 14:10; James 4:11). In Luke 6:41,42 He speaks of seeing a speck in a brother’s eye. In John 7:24 He said, "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." If someone steals, lies, commits adultery or murder, etc., the Christian can make a (righteous) moral judgment and say that the actions were morally wrong, and that these sins will have eternal consequences.
Chuck Colson said, "True tolerance is not a total lack of judgment. It’s knowing what should be tolerated—and refusing to tolerate that which shouldn’t."
If God has forgiven us then we have no more sins. He has forgiven our past, present, and future sins. We still stumble in the flesh but He knows when we will stumble. Do you know what "Justification" means? It means "just as though you never sinned." We are justified by Christ's redemptive work on the cross. All we have to do is repent and God justifies us!

You sound similar to me in the way you think. I also some times play the devils advocate and have people question who's side am I on. However I would encourage you to keep asking questions that are governed by your conscience. Why? Because I know if your Christianity is sincere and I believe it is then your conscience will only let you go so far. If your questions were so bad you would have had far more complaints about them, or more questions actually deleted. Keep up the good work and stay true to your calling and God bless you heaps as you serve Him in the faith. Amen.

Point #1
Since Atheists do not believe in God, how can they be a creation of something they do not believe other then your perception of such.
Point #2
Most of the Atheists that I have met, were at one time or another believers in a faith but have since changed their minds.
It is more likely for you to become an Atheist then it is for them to turn “Christian”.
My sister said it well when she said, it is the individuals right to believe in that which they choose to believe in with out the condemning of believers that do not believe as they do.
If you truly wish to change the manners of some of the “Christians” here that post hate, then might I suggest that you start with the leaders of your Church and spread the message that way?
Signed,
A believer in Christ!

I agree with you; any moment the atheists could turn their life to God. They are exposed to Christian thinking on here even though they might have some answer or questions that spark feistiness(if that is a word) in the Christians that are on here. All we can do is pray for them to be enlightened to the fact that God created us and He sent down His son Jesus to die for us so that we may live.

I support all who choose to believe that which they believe. I do not and will not speak to another person who does not have my beliefs in a hateful and condemning fashion.
There are those here that say that they are believers in "Christ" but their words and actions are not of "Christ's" message. They enjoy picking verses that may support what they are saying but they themselves do not know the message.
I pity those who choose to act in this manner to all other beliefs then their own.
Mayhaps in time they will learn by knowledge and education that we are all different with our right to choose to live free with our choice and not to live in a dictator society that condemns for not all believing the same.
Peace,
Sam (a follower of Christ)

Yes, this is the most important thing we can remember when defending our faith...not to condemn anyone who doesn't believe what we do.
It doesn't mean we will not offend, just as Christ offended the Pharisees and Sadducee's when He preached in the synagogue, we will offend when we speak the truth to those who do not believe, or who do not wish to believe, but we should never condemn anyone to hell...
We are not better than they are, and we do not deserve the grace and forgiveness of Christ...no human being does, but God gives it to us freely if we believe in Him. So just pray for those who do not believe and be an example of Christ's love...perhaps they will come to see the truth in you...
Share the Gospel faithfully and pray for them...
Take Care and God Bless you all.
P.S...just to clarify, me not condemning someone by, saying for example: ("you go to hell for your evil deeds and stubborn rebellion, you evil sinner you!".)
...does not change the fact that according to the Bible, hell is reserved for those who do not have Christ to pay for their sins. Without Christ, the only alternative is hell, because it means that person has to pay the penalty for their own sins against God. I pity the ones who choose to ignore Christ's offer of pardon from their sins. It is pride when a human believes there is no God, and that theirs is the only intelligence worthy of respect. Without Christ, hell awaits. To all who do not believe, please read the teaching's of Christ and accept His offer of pardon from your sins before it's too late. Your eternity is at stake and none of us know how much time we have on this earth...but when we die, which can happen so suddenly and without warning, there is no other chance for us to choose to accept Christ as our Lord and Savior...so while today is today, ask for forgiveness for your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your savior and you will be saved. I pray God softens your hearts. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

well i dont see why anyone would outrightly mention "HEY you're going to hell" or anything like that, but if it ever came up, would you lie to them?
its hard to sugarcoat when you feel strongly about a subject, and some christians might get overzealous, but the main thing is to speak the truth with love.

Thank you for your sentiment :)
But I am curious. Is your idea that "they are still creations of God and *could one day turn to God*" the only thing that keeps you from condemning us to hell?
What if I could guarantee that I am never ever going to believe in your god? Will you still defend my worth?
