each time after about 5 minutes running my left tibialis anterior hurts so bad i have to walk at times. everything so far is good with the right leg. sometimes the pain is not that bad after about 30min, but then at minute 40-50 i have to stop and walk my way back. This is because at this point the tibialis anterior is hurting bad again plus the right leg hurts where the tibia and the fibula meet below the knee on the exterior side. What can i do????????

Shin splints are caused by muscle imbalance. Calf strong, shin weak. The way to correct this is to strengthen the muscles at the front of the legs. Lie face down in bed with your toes hanging over the edge. Pull your toes upward against the resistance of the mattress. Try to work up to 3 or 4 sets of 5 – 10 reps each. Good Luck

I believe you have developed shin splints in you left leg. The pain in the right knee is probably from the change in your gait from favoring the left leg.

Deal with the shin splints and the right leg will be fine.

make sure you drink plenty of water to aid in flushing out excess acids that build up and to flush away toxins, and pulling your toes upward against some type of resistance will strengthen your shin splints but don't forget to stretch them also by pushing downward
