My friend was telling me the other day that she gets an extreme high from being choked until she almost passes out. Sounds dangerous to me. I wondered if this is addictive? Dangerous?

Yes it can be psychologically addictive but not physically addictive. You should try and get your friend to stop doing this as it could literally kill her, this method of getting high can sometimes be worse than the illegal substances most commonly known. So to answer your question, yes it can be addictive and is definitely dangerous. Tell an adult you trust about it to get her to stop.

u can get so into it that it becomes an obession and its all u wont to do. i knew someone who was into that and they died.... see at first its all fun an games u try it with friends then u keep wontin to do it but waht happens when know one is around and u feel u need 2 do it.... the person i knew got resouceful and would somehow use a belt to choke herself however one time sumthin went wrong and she hung herself.....
so dont do it and if a friend is doin it then talk to them an if that dont work u MUST tell someone else...

In middle school I had a friend that did this all the time. Finally one night she did it and the ambulance had to come. She almost died. Still to this day she is completely out of it. If talking to this friend doesnt work, you really need to call your friends parents as much as your friend would think you were stabbing her in the back in the long run she will realize that you are saving her life. Please if you are this girls real friend you will do what you can to help her otherwise you will have to live with the blame that you didnt do anything.

Yes it is dangerous, lack of oxygen to the brain is dangerous, not to mention just plain stupid. The return rush of blood to the brain could cause a weak vessel to rupture and she'd have a stroke that can result in permanent damage.

Any form of harming, whether self-harming or not, can quickly become addictive. Your friend has some squirrels running around in her attic.

I don't know that I'd call it addictive.

It's more a fetish. It's one that I enjoy.

I don't know if your friend is doing this during sex? That's where I like it..... but it can definitely go too far. Your friend and her lover both need to be sure of what they are doing and that they don't overdo it.

tell you friend to stop!

a lot of people have died like this.

smoke marijuana (jk.< just to be safe)

you get high. you kill braincells, but not as much.
