Shall we maintain being a PR, or is better to make the most of our stay here by taking the citizenship?

The only advantage to being a citizen is, right to vote, cheaper medical fees and eligibility for some of the stipends the government occasionally hands out.

If you do accept Singapore citizenship you are required to denounce your home country citizenship. This is done by swearing to that intent in front of a Council or higher from your embassy and presenting a document from the embassy that you are no longer a citizen of that country.

Person's who take that step under the age of 21 and under some form of pressure to do so can sometimes get their citizenship reinstated. But as an adult the chances are slim. And if you did later manage to give up your Singapore citizenship, don't plan on coming back to work.

Also your male children will have to do National Service. They will not be allowed to change their citizenship until they reach the age of 21.
