I wonder if she has the same feelings when she looks at you.

yeah, you're normal.
Everyone's embarrassed by their parents at some point in life.
However, consider this: you've done your share of embarrassing her, I'm sure. Ever thrown a screaming temper fit in public? Whined in the store? Gotten bad grades?
Parents get embarrassed by their kids, too.
Okay, she's fat.
Other kids' parents are beautiful?
Look again.
Other kids' parents dress well? Some do, but most of us really don't give a darn what kids think of our appearance. We've got other things on our mind, like how we're going to put food on the table and pay bills.
Some other kid is embarrassed because her beautiful mom hits on her boyfriends.
Another kid's embarrassed because his dad still dresses like he lives in the 70s.
So while you're normal, try to have a broader view of the world. What good qualities does your mom have that you're really glad about? Those are the things that really matter.
Of course there's the issue of health, but you didn't mention that so I'll leave that alone.
The point is that you're normal, but maybe you can go for extraordinary and appreciate your mom for who she is and ignore anyone who says otherwise. If your friends are dogging her looks, then what're they saying about you?

How old are you? If you are a teenager, it's completely normal. YOu don't want people to grow up thinking you'll look that way. I think that you shouldn't get sick looking at her though. She is your mother and she loves you. I wouldn't be ashamed, a lot of people have unattractive parents. Have you seen Paris Hilton's mom? My mom is really pretty and I was ashamed of her as a teen. If you are young I think you'll grow out of it. If you are older maybe you should get therapy. Or, maybe it makes you sick because you are worried about her health. In which case you should talk to her about it. Moms sacrifice a lot for their children, be nice to her.

Actually a lot more common then you might believe. There are plenty of kids who are embarrassed by the appearance of their parents. But as they grow and mature usually realize that these same people that they are so embarrassed about have always been very proud of those people of whom they embarrass. A lot of kids actually are so much into aesthetics that they don't realize it's what's inside and not outside of a person that is beautiful. Let's hope that when you become a father your son doesn't speak the same way of you.

No, and that is terrible of you to say. Everyone is different. Not every woman can be a bustly young woman who all men want and all women want to be. If she is happy with her weight and appearance and her health is not in serious danger, than she is fine. If you really want her to lose weight, it should be for health reasons and if she is interested in changing her appearance, not because you are embaressed of her. If she wants to change her appearance and/or her health is in danger, suggest that she try diet and exercise and perhaps weight loss pills.

Someone in your family has a problem, and It's not your mom. If you feel that way about your mom, I don't think you feel so good about yourself. How would you feel if someone said to you, "You make me sick when I look at your." And you have the nerve to say this about the person who gave you life and took care of your sorry behind for all those years when you were helpless.

Everybody's parents embarrass them in some way or another, like when they bring out baby pictures around your girlfriend or when they talk about giving birth to you... but to be embarrassed by your mom's weight is pretty awful. She's your MOTHER! She's a woman who gave up life as she knew it to take care of you, only for you to turn around and feel ashamed of her because she took care of you in lieu of taking care of herself.
Look at your mother. Think about all she's done for you, and then think about how superficial a person you are that her weight 'makes you sick.'

No you shouldn't be embaressed of your mom.
i mean she is your mother and if she is happy with what she looks like, then you should be too, right?
if people make fun of her then ignore it and move on. making a scene is not the answer. if it continues then you POLITLY say stop.
<3=]
PS it is normal for you to feel that way, but try to find the better qualites of her.
hope i helped

My mother has a big nose. So what?
If it is genetic, you might be fat someday yourself.
She might have put the weight on being pregnant with you.
Wrap your arms around her belly and give her a big hug and thank her and tell her how much you love her.
She loves you just the way you are. She would give her life for you.

No, there is nothing you can do but encourage her to lose weight not because your embarrassed or how she looks but for her health and no its not normal for you to feel this way. No matter how fat or small your mom gets you should love her and be proud of her regardless how she looks because that's how she would be towards you.

I assume you're a teenager, and I'd guess most teenagers are embarrassed of their parents for one reason or another. So yes, it's normal. That said, you should still be respectful and civil to your mother!
Edit: Given that you have a daughter, it looks like my assumption that you were young and stupid was wrong. Apparently you're just stupid.
