Maybe.

It does depend on the frame.
The material, the way the groove for the lens is cut (needs "V" groove not "square" one) and to an extent the shape of the frame.

Sunglasses with a marked curve, "wrap", to them may need specially-made lenses that are more expensive than standard Rx lenses.

But any firm that simply says "we don't glaze sunglasses" is just being lazy. SOME sunglasses can be glazed.

Note though that frames with a big area of lens will mean thicker and heavier prescription lenses, unless offset with high index lenses, which are more expensive.
If your prescription is strong, the smallest frames *that suit you* will deliver, overall, the best-looking effect.

Actually, yes you can. They will have to take the frames from you to have the glass cut to fit properly. And may I also suggest getting transition lens' so that your new prescription glasses will turn to sunglasses when you step outside into the sun! I love mine!

i have asked this question to my eye doctor before and he has told me no because frames from the eye doctor are stronger and heavier duty and rx lenses are heavy and need extra support. but maybe things have changed and your best bet is really to ask your doctor and not listen to what any of us are saying, because hes the one who would knows it for sure!! =)

You will have to ask the eye place but I doubt they will do that unless they are prescription frames.
