I have completed my year with them back in November of last year. I planned on switching to another company who like them offerd a credit making service 19.99. I verbally agreed to stay when they offered to give me service for the same price plus tax for a total of about 35 dollars a month 10 dollars cheaper than what I had paid when I joined. This month they sent a bill for 70 dollars! I only use two boxes, I have the basic package (with no extras) and I never order anything. When I called to complain, they basically denied giving me that price and told me I could take it or leave it. I want to keep tv, but for that price I cannot afford it, how can I get them to keep their end of the bargain or lower my service?

When negotiating with satellite TV providers, always ask to speak to a supervisor. Make a note of the name/extension, etc of the supervisor you spoke to.

Explain the situation and see if they will bargain with you. If not, thank them, then sign up with Dish Network.

Get Dish Network. Your DirecTV bill will go to $0.
