Jesus said:“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

The key words are Believe and REPENT.

The Bible says: You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! James 2:19

If you only have faith or just believe you have a demon faith. What seperates a true Christian from one who is a Christian in name only is the one who repents.

If you repent (turn away from all the things you know are wrong) and trust in Him, God will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life.

yes, if you repent he will forgive you. you should strive to be as Christ like as human possible, but He knows it is impossible not to sin, otherwise Jesus would have died in vain. believing there IS a God and believing IN God are two different things. The bible as lots of scriptures where ppl were counted as righteous cause of their faith Not their deeds. well this is my thoughts on it anyhow

You do not know what you are talking because you do not read and read the bible until you could understand it. Read the whole bible in your heart so that you will not be called ignorant on the bible.
It means in Mark 1:15 the prophet in the Gospel was fullfilled that Jesus Christ was nailed on the cross and caused his death and from that time on, the Kingdom of God has come to earth. Non believers of God should repent and should believe the words of God written on the Gospels in the Holy Bible.

In James 2:19 - believe that there is one God who always guide you and love you. The evil spirit or the demon or satan believe the powers of God more than their powers, so they are afraid of God.

Faith means you have belief in God who is powerful than the demon. All non believers of God should repent.

Well...nobody is perfect and neither am I. I've still got a lot to work on! :o) There are still times when I get angry or stuff. I am trying, however, to turn away from all wickedness but it isn't easy. I can only do it with the Lord's help and neither He nor I can make me perfect in a day, year, lifetime, or even a billion years, I'd imagine. All I can do is take joy in service and keep a sure hope for the fire of the dawning of the brightness of the perfect day. When that bursts upon me, that will be a good day! :o) I think it will be for everyone...Even then I won't be able to repay all He's given me, though! :o) I owe Him everything.

Even if we have sincere repentance and true faith in God, we still make mistakes after becoming a child of God through Jesus.

However, when we trust in God, Jesus fills us with the Holy Spirit - we are sanctified by Him and through Him and our lives change. We become a new creation in Christ, alive to Him yet dead to sin. It's as if God comes to live in our hearts guiding and helping us through life's journey and it is His promise that we shall not fail if we only depend upon Him and believe.

Try God, for He is good and His mercy endures for ever. It's my humble little experience too.

Actually, its only a FAITH that the sacrifice of 'jesus' with grant salvation. I suggest re-reading Hosea and Habakuk in the OT with particular note to the 'sons of ephraim'. One should note that ephraim was the son of joseph and born in the city of bethal.

The 'sons of ephraim'--the Canaanites, venerated a stick of wood, offered up human sacrifice upon high places--like MT Calvary, used human sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin, and relished in their sin, just as Christians do. Though in the OT these practices were cited as abominations to god.

As to REPENTING, yes this is a good thing. The only thing more vile than a sinner is a SELF RIGHTEOUS sinner. Since to sin means that a person is LYING and DEFYING their OWN god(s).

Orginally, to sin meant that a person had transgressed what they personally had sworn to their god(s) to uphold---their covanent. The bible has like 5 different covanents within it, each with their own rules and consequences and their mode of cleaning up the messes created by trangressing the LAW.

I am a christian, but sometimes I struggle with turning things away. I know that they're wrong because they start to destroy me from the inside out...but God...is so gracious. I know that while I was but a sinner he gave his son so that I could know him and with that thought in mind I run opened armed toward him. Yes...I fall short. Yes...I am so far from perfect...but there in is the truth of god's grace...that we are imperfect but a perfect fit for his love. It encompasses everything...so that soon every breath and step...every moment is filled with God and those things that the world begs me to take, those things that I am afraid to let go of are gone. Forgotten in the face of his glory...they are nothing more then weights to keep me from flying....

Saved, sanctified and headin' on the journey. Don't always make the right choices, but He always lets me know when I need to change something.

Keeping it real and trying to live a holy life!
