This is the main mode of learning for babies and toddlers... their mouths contain the most sensory nerves, so very young children explore the world around them by putting things into their mouths. This is a totally typical exploratory method! She doesn't spit it out for attention, she spits it out because she tasted it, it didn't taste good, and she is learning what things taste good/bad. The only way to learn what is edible/inedible is to try it out. Continually reinforce that "we don't eat things on the ground" by saying "yucky!" when she picks up something on the ground and goes to move her hand to her mouth- each time she does it. As long as she is not actually eating the object, she is ok. Eventually, she will outgrow this phase.

I agree with what people are saying about keep them out of her reach. Anything that can fit through a toilet paper roll is a possible choking hazard. If she does end up with something dangerous in her mouth (something that's too small) just remove it.

Now, anything that isn't dangerous or a choking hazard, I would let her put in her mouths. (within reason) That's one way babies learn and explore--with their mouth. It was once though by some (like Freud) that babies go through what's called an 'oral stage'. That would be what this is. Part of the theory was that if the 'oral stage' is not satisfied at the time, an oral fixation later in life will occur. For example, smoking or overeating. I'm not sure if the scientific community believes this currently, but I could see how that might work.

Keep taking the objects away from her. Babies discover new things with site, hearing, touch, and taste. The later seems to be their favorite way. If it's going to hurt them or choke them, then keep them out of reach. It's natural behavior for a baby to explore its world in this way.

tape her mouth shut.. j/k please dont try that it was only a joke.. it all depends on what shes putting in her mouth. if its small objects, make sure you pick them all up and put them away. if its toys for her, then let her chew on them, she might be teething, just make sure you wash then down once a week, and keep them clean with whipes throught the week. and if you dont want her chewing on things like a wooden leg of a chair.put some hot sauce were she usaully chews..

Depending on the age...but that is kind of how they explore things. Keep things you don't want her to have away, and things that are okay close to her. But at a young age, they don't really know why they can't put it in their mouth.

its not safe to have thing smaller than or baby's mouth cause they will put things in there mouth and could chock on them so i would tack all objects that are smaller that your baby's mouth and get reed of them or just keep them away

You can't really - that's just something babies do. You need to make sure that there's nothing near her that could get her in trouble, like by swallowing it, if she put it in her mouth.
