I know for sure they i have as high of vision as you can get and i used to eat a bunch of carrots when i was younger. Its not a myth because it is proven that carrots contain vitamin c which helps vision. Your sight could be caused by astigmatism, which is a bend in your lense. Eating carrots will not fix this.

Carrots have beta carotene, which is a source of vitamin A. Sometimes people who do not have enough vitamin A have some difficulty seeing at night or in dim light. Carrots have nothing to do with visual acuity, which is what is measured when you read an eye chart. Carrots are certainly good for you, but as with any food, try not to overdo it. They won't help you to read any lower on the eye chart than you already can read.

Whether the disinformation propaganda piece fooled the Germans for a moment is unclear, but the British population bought it, and the story has lived on, and spread, from there.

Yes, vitamin A deficiency leads to night blindness.
But an excess of vitamin A is toxic, so it isn't simply a case of "more is better".
Don't ever eat polar bear, husky or seal liver.

Carrots contain Vitamin A, which is involved in vision, specifically night vision. If you had poor vision at night, Vitamin A would be helpful. Since you need glasses or contact lenses, the problem is with the shape or your eyeballs or the lenses of your eyes. Vitamin A won't help there.
