It's a sin for him to take the job if his religious convictions prevent him from actually doing it.

The Christian pharmacists are very okay with giving out a prescription of viagra to any married person. If you ever read the Song of Solomon, you understand that Solomon was a sexually active guy (I forget just how many wives and concubines the guy had).
Just take a look at what he did with pomegranates and nectar!!! So, I have this feeling that if having fun with pomegranates is in the Bible and enjoying sex with or without the ability to reproduce (do you really think he scored a bullseye every time???), it's definitely okay for a guy to take Viagra!!!

I would have to say "No", the pharmacist is not in danger of sinning by filling a prescription for Viagra. The patient's doctor has obviously made a decision for this patients health (and Viagra is primarily a drug promoting heart and circulation health, not sex), and the pharmacist is merely fulfilling their duty in filling said prescription.
On moral grounds, no pharmacist is duty bound to interrogate their customer(s), to make sure that their products are being used in a lawful manner. If they suspect illegal use, then they have a duty to take action (with the patient's doctor and possibly the law). Once any general prescription, whether it be for Viagra, Oxycontin, antihistimines, etc, has been dispensed lawfully, the pharmacist is free and clear. He/She is not required by any Holy Law to police the drug's use.
The twist comes in, however, when certain abortifacients are prescribed, to wit, the abortion pill RU486 (or whatever it's called). This drug does NOT have any intended purpose beyond killing an unborn human being. It only kills children. If a pharmacist doesn't want to be party to a murder, based on their religious grounds, they should not be forced to participate.
Take the next step. Let's pretend that Doctor-assisted Suicide becomes the law of the land, and physicians begin writing prescriptions for Potassium Cyanide for their depressed patients. Should someone who disagrees with suicide, on moral grounds, be forced to fill that prescription? After all, the only thing Potassium Cyanide does is KILL. There is no gray area here!
When do medical professionals get to say, "I will not be a party to this death!"? Does the freedom of choice only apply to women patients?
Where does it end?

**** christian pharmacists, it's old people that are already married that need Viagra anyway. I'm young and usually have a problem keeping the reaction down when I don't want it not getting it. Old people might not get boners as easily so give them Viagra.
Who really cares if your married or not

Boy oh boy, jeez Louise...
I sure hope they're having all of the new pharmacists-in-training search their hearts and souls in pharmacy school to make sure they really want to be a pharmacist...
Or do they really just want to make political statements and create controversy...
How about a tire salesman refusing to sell tires for sports cars because he thinks they create temptation to drive dangerously fast and therefore have a higher percentage of accidents and may cause deaths...?
I just had a vision of God sighing, rolling His eyes & shaking his head....

(((IWF))) I just logged on..omg this is funny! Well, the pharmacist cannot know for sure as we cannot ever predict the future and what someone is going to do, free will and all...so, it's not a sin to do your job; dispensing medication.
