Yes; it depends on how much water or sand is put in the bottom.
You don't want to put in so much that it's impossible for you to move, but you want to put in enough so that it'll stay put.
It would be a good idea to ask someone who works at a sports supply store about the right amount of sand/water to put in the Wavemaster.
I don't know how much water is in the Wavemasters at my dojang, but you'd have to be pretty strong to knock them over. Most of the men and many of the stronger women can make them wobble with a solid spin or side kick; a few guys can actually knock them over. But this happens very rarely.

We have not had good luck with wavemasters. We are constantly getting them replaced because they break easily. I would suggest the very tall XXL bags and fill with sand, or get a heavy leather hanging bag.
Even the small students knock over the wavemasters if they kick it just right.

Homer thats just a stupid thing to do in my opinion. I suggest that you first train and then think about buying a wavemaster. If you have a wavemaster I am sure you will have fun. But there will be alot missing there such as the school you would be training at and the friends you would meet etc and all the great fun. Final say, Train first then get wavemaster." Good Luck and Have Fun.

Don't do it! Even I can kick over a wavemaster! Get a hanging bag, man.

Yes, but they have a screw-on cap that fits very well so the water does not leak out. You can also fill them with sand instead although the bag will be even less mobile since sand does not shift inside like water does but they really don't bounce or move like a hanging bag does even with water in them.

depends how much water/sand you put in it. and how strong you are,i wouldnt so much worry about knocking it over but they do wobble alot
in my opinion hanging bags are much better but if you have to worry about moving the bag, where to hang it, or saving space i guess you have to stick with a wavemaster

Can definitely be both. I've seen it happen. Its all in the power of the kick and hitting it in just the right spot. Def doable.

Very easily,, especially on glossy.slick surfaces, or even on carpet.
Use sand to fill it, and place felt, etc, on the bottom to increase friction.
