i am afraid brother bad guppy that sugar increases bacterial growth (it is a nutrient for it).... mayb salt is an antiseptic

Sugar helps in blood clotting. Salt reduces swelling. But these are not preferred ways of treating a gunshot wound.

also, the two will work as inhibitors of bacterial growth. think about cured or country ham. they're used in this method to prevent bacterial growth and act as a preservative for the raw meat.
