I'd like to hear it from a real person who tasted both back in the day. Did it taste so radically different to old Coke? Was it similar to the taste of Pepsi in any way?

I thought it had a sharper, stronger flavor. I still tasted like Coke, at least really close, but was not as smooth. I was one of the few people that actually preferred new Coke. No complaints with Coke Classic, just I like the new stuff too.

I honestly could't tell much change at all. I think it might have been a little sweeter but not a lot. As far as Pepsi vs Coke, I have never detected any difference between them either except Pepsi is a little sweeter.

It was sweeter and didn't have the carbonation that regular coke has. It was a lot more like Pepsi. It was not good that is why it didn't stay on the market very long.

It tasted like a sweetened up version of Coke with a bitter undertaste. I only drank a couple of cans of it. The second one I drank to see if the first one was a fluke.

It tasted like some 'store brand' of crappy-tasting 'cola'. I suspected that CocaCola had lost the secret recipe and 'faked it' for a little while, until one of the two guys in the world who knew it could get the salary increase he bargained for.

I never believe ANY advertising scam about 'New!'. -Haven't since I was a kid. (it usually means lowering the quality slyly)
