I had a root canal done a few years ago. I got a crown put in which fell out twice because it wasn't recemented properly. Now today my crown and rod fell out. Does anyone know what happens now? Will the dentist put the rods back in?

The dentist will probably attempt to recement it back into place or may suggest a new crown. They will probably take an xray of the tooth to make sure that the root of the tooth has not fractured or broken. If it has then they will recommend an extraction. Hopefully they will be able to recement the post and crown.
Good luck!

He can try and there might be hope but it depends on how healthy the tooth underneath it is. After having a crown for a while, the tooth underneath often gets decayed. The crown also might be falling out all the time because there is not much natural tooth left and that's probably why you needed those rods in the first place. Don't be entirely surprised if he has to remove the whole tooth. I'm crossing my my fingers for you!

But yes, if he can put it back in the rods will go back in again with it.

HELLO,
WHAT HAPPENED IN YOUR CASE IS THAT THE POST (ROD) WHICH HELD THE CORE(TOOTH BUILDUP) WHICH IN TURN WAS COVERED BY THE CROWN, BECAME LOOSE AND ULTIMATELY FELL OUT.
THE POST ISN'T SUPPOSED TO PROVIDE THE ULTIMATE STRENGTH FOR THE CROWNED TOOTH. FYI POSTS WEAKEN TEETH.
YOU MAY HAVE HAD A TOOTH (ROOT) FRACTURE THAT LED TO YOU LOSING THE CROWN.
GO TO THE DENTIST TO HAVE THIS EVALUATED FOR A ROOT FRACTURE.
