Depends on which branches you're talking about. Much denomination diversity is over issues which are non-essential with regards to gaining salvation.

Not sure what you mean by "other branches", if you are referring to denominations or religions like Mormons, JWs, etc.. Anyone who confesses Christ as their savior, who is born again, filled with the Spirit, and believes and accepts the Biblical tenets that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, is of the elect and saved.

I was a Jehovah's Witness for a while. i believe people further down, the average ones are just mislead but at the top are decievers. It makes me upset to think of friends, families and more that are lost because of this religion.
Read more about them at jehovahs-witness.com
Also i believe there is no direct channel within Chrisitanity to God, but that God looks at individuals on their own merit and their heart. ANYONE who teaches otherwise is a fool who is either brainwashed or doesnt fully understand the message Jesus shared.
When the disciples ask Jesus about the man casting out demons in his name without being with their group what does he say?
Does he not say in the bible that anyone who gives you a cup of water on the basis of belonging to Christ will not lose their salvation?
OR what about 2 Timothy 2:5?
God is not a Roman Catholic, CofE or anything but God. For people to suggest he chose a denomination is madness. My Prayers get answered regardless of who i belong to, God is bigger than our little groups.

I believe that Roman Catholicism has the fullness of truth and all the means of salvation. Other Christians faiths do have some truth, and I trust in the LORD to save those who love him. God bless.

I have heard that wide is the path but narrow is the way, but no one ever pointed the way. It strikes me as a bunch of kids fighting for Dads approval. When you think you have it all figured out, and everybody else is wrong, that is when the problems start.

God does not differentiate among the various denominational divisions,in Christendom. Quite simply, the many membered body of Jesus Christ is inter-denominational...Those who know Jesus, while here on earth, will spend eternity, with him.
Any group, who is centered around the teaching of Jesus, that chooses to alienate themselves, to the exclusion of other Christians and further teach that they alone represent the true Church,is in error and I would be highly suspect of them...This type of thought, is one of the signs, of the birth of a cult.

Here is my stand on this:
If you hold these basic thoughts then that Church is Christian:
The all Scripture is God Inspired, suitable to teaching and correction in our life.
In the Triune Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
That God created the heavens and the earth and man was created in his image.
That although man was created in the image of God, we fell to sin and are lost. This applies to all men, and unless we are born again by the Holy Spirit we will not see heaven.
Satan is a person, the author of sin, and the reason for the fall of man, and is destined to the judgment of an eternal punishment in the lake of fire.
The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe on Him are redeemed by His shed blood. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ and in His ascension into heaven; He is our High Priest and Advocate.
Salvation is the gift of God’s grace. It cannot be gained or made more secure by meritorious works, but is freely bestowed upon all who put their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary. All who so trust the Savior are forgiven of their sins and born into the family of God by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that we have a holy calling to walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit, and so to live in the power of the indwelling Spirit in order that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. The flesh is never eradicated in this life. Individuals must choose to keep the flesh in subjection to Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, or it will surely manifest its presence in life and dishonor our Lord.
Until the return of Christ, it is the Christian’s duty and privilege to seek the fulfillment of Christ's Great Commission and to minister in His name to a needy world. We are to be instruments of Jesus Christ as the Holy Spirit ministers redemption and reconciliation in the world.

Neither.
I think some of them are wrong about some things, some of them are wrong about all things, and some of them are right about most things. I don't think any of them will end up in hell for eternity. But I do believe that many of them are counter-productive at best.

It is sad, but if Jesus Christ is not the center of your life, then I'm afraid you're sentenced to Hell.
BUT! God gives us all a choice--if we just take His hand and choose to love Him, we don't have to worry about Hell at all!
