I am not an alcoholic (at least not yet) but i have just discovered that wine makes me completely different than any other drink there is....What is happening between the synapses that I am unaware of?

(I have had 4 glasses of wine tonite so forgive the typos)

Your hypothalamus is reacting something new on your taste. A glass of wine a day is good for the heart. But ina bottle drink moderate only.

Anything with alcohol in it will get you feeling pretty much the way your feeling right now. The alcohol content in wine may be much higher than something else your used to like a light beer or Zima. Mostly, its all in your head. 2oz of alcohol in one drink will not be any different than 2oz of alcohol in something completely different HOWEVER, you may not like other drinks as much as wine, therefore would not me so inclined to compare. Like me, I can drink just about anything but gin. I would rather eat liver than drink gin. Wine is getting a better buzz becaue you have drank more than double a normal serving suggestion.

Different kinds of alchoholic beverages are made from different plants. As a result the alcohol is slightly different in each one. So some people are more sensitive to wine, some to vodka, etc.

Wine is made with fruit juices.Beer and most hard alcohol is made with grain.Different sugar source for alcohol,different type of buzz.
