Yes it is rude and an insult to call someone elses ideas dumb. You don't have to accept anyone elses ideas but it isn't nice to call them dumb.

Yeah its kinda rude. You don't have to insult someone's idea b/c they may want to help by suggesting. Just only give constructive criticism to that idea of them to avoid being rude. Now if their ideas isn't helpful don't easily dump it just tell them in a nice way that it is not relevant.

yes, there is no need to call someone else's idea dumb. You can offer another idea, suggest that it might work better, but there is no need to put someone else down.

if you are just doing that to insult them yes it is but if your doing that to bring them off of their high horse down to a respectable level with everyone else than i actually reccomend it. you shouldnt insult people for their ideas but you also cant let them get too full of themselves...
