Posting this on my sister's yahoo answers I apologize I recently posted it on mine as well but for some reason I can't log into mine at the moment

A female friend of mine and her two guy friend's all went out to dinner together. We were driving to a place somewhat far away and they asked me to drive. I said i didn't feel comfortable and that I had a rental car and would really prefer if someone else drive. Nobody else would drive so I got stuck driving!

W e got there everyone order and it turned out my female friend left her money at home. Angered I figured her boyfriend would lend her money! Her boyfriend and two friends also came with NO MONEY! I had to pay for everything which ended up costing me $45.00 in cash! Plus money for filling my tank with gas $20.00

When I got back to my friend's house my friend payed me half the money which was about $25.00. Her boyfriend agreed to pay me another $10.00 for the food.

Whlie that is all great I am still angry and annoyed!!!

Sounds like these "friends" will need you again for something and when they do, make them pay UPFRONT for last time, and make sure that they have their money for this time. If they don't have enough to cover their bill LEAVE THEM!!

I guess you could be upset. You got played seriously. If you were really smart, you could have jumped on the "I forgot my money" bandwagon too. And then what? Don't let them make a fool out of you anymore. I find it hard to believe that people would pile into a car and go to "dinner" with no money. And the reason I say "dinner" is because you said the total for all those people was only $45. Where exactly did y'all eat? I sure wouldn't waste $20 and drive that far for fast food. But that's just me. And in the future just do what me and my friends did all through college....Whoever has the bright idea to go somewhere far should be the driver. That eliminates the debate.

if you found out your friends didn't have money, why didn't you just leave the place and take them home...? you paid instead.

well, i dont' know what to say, except that if there ever is a next time you go out with them, make sure they have money before you leave. if not, tell them to take a hike!

there's no sense holding on to that anger and feeling annoyed. you'd feel much better of you took some deep breaths and then go for a walk to get it out of your system, hon

well, maybe it was careless for them to go out to eat knowing they all should have had money on them. who goes somewhere and carries no money on them? i dont know what there parents have taught them because you never leave the house broke because you never know what could happen. plus, you never leave the house knowing you are going out to eat and have no money and how they all wind up with no money that was pretty messed up and for you paying that was very nice of you because you could have been rude and told the waitress you are paying for your food and leave them to figure out what they are going to do beacause you could have lied and said you only have the exact amount for YOUR food and left them stranded and not knowing what to do..maybe they knew what they were doing when they left the house borke that wasnt your problme niether was it up to you to pay. but it was nice of your friend to give you 25$ and her bf to offer 10$ to you. they could have been rude and kept acting like they were broke. i can understand why you are annoyed and angry because it wasnt right. but all you can do is forgive and forget and move on. take it as a lesson. DONT go out with people unless you know they have there wallets and there cell phones because you never know what could happen..it could have been a major disaster..just think if you had no money and accidently forgot your wallet or lost your wallet? what if it would have fell out of your purse? now everyone is sitting there with no money and the bill sitting infront all your faces and no way to pay what are you to do now? hope i helped. keep your head up. dont let it bother you that much.

Yes, you have a right to be upset, what they did to you was rude. You should not have had to pay for anything except your own meal. You should have paid for your meal and left them there.

Baby girl, I know you're upset. As long as you get your $$$ back that's what matters because **** do happen. Don't loose friends over this, this could have been you in their shoes. Let it go, after they all reinburse you.
