Go to a pharmacy and buy a bottle of SALINE SOLUTION. It comes in a soda bottle and is usually green tinted. Drink it and your problem will be gone in 1/2 to 6 hours. Note. The stuff is carbonated but has a very very strong taste.

Hopefully, you don't have an impactment (clogged pipes). See your doctor if you don't resume your normal routine after drinking the saline solution.

Yes, anti-depressants contain "binders" that can contribute to constipation. You will need to add foods like apples, oranges and raw vegetables to stay regular.

**If you don't have access to a store, got to your local ER. They'll give you something to make you go.

Best Constipation Cures

Lacy,
I have depression and anxiety disorder too. I have IBS as well which means sometimes diarrhea and sometimes constipation. However, you may need to go to doc if you haven't had a bowel movement in a week's time and are hurting! You could have a bowel obstruction which can be very dangerous. If you have had some bm's, consider getting on fiber therapy. I take metamucil (store brand which is just as good!) when I'm having problems. If there's constipation, the fiber adds liquid into your system and if it's diarrhea, it adds bulk to help make solid bm's.
Let me know how you do!

If you have taken the wrong medicine and having severe abdominal pains, best is to see a doctor immediately. You should not be feeling sick this way. Having constipation for a week is serious. Do not eat in the meantime. Just plain water.

I would definitely suggest using a suppository. Sit on the toilet, use a little vaseline on the suppository to insert it into your rectum. Relax your spinchter muscles and and use your index finger to insert it into your rectum. Hold your buttock cheeks togetherto make sure it is firmly planted. Don't go far from the restroom. It can work in as little as 15 minutes or as long as a few hours.

Also, I have noticed that going a while without eating produces a BM after being constipated.
Good luck

You can have your doctor prescribe you a special laxitive like i got or you can try prune juice, or medimucil both of which you can find at the local Pick'n Save

when toddlers are constipated the doctor suggests prunes/prune juice, corn syrup, and if you can get some stool softeners in the future, theyre effective and don't cause the usual discomforts that laxatives do.

You should intake more fiber, raspberries are really good they contain lots of it, also bananas and apples, eat a lot of those. Also I don't know if you heard of Fiber all it's a good source of fiber it a powder that you can add into your cereal and eat it... you wont even notice it. Natures Valley crunch has a very good fiber source... good luck! trust me it will work!
