My hair is extremely frizzy and rather poofy.
Straightening does not work that well; my hair is resistant and curls back within an hour. (though the frizz leaves)

Any reccomendations for products I can use? Inexpensive, please...
Something that will make my hair less frizzy & perhaps a straightener that might actually work?

Ello' there,

Here are my suggestions:

1. Before taking a shower, soak your hair in olive oil or jojoba oil (not vegatable oil), for at least 20 minutes. Do this two-three times a month to let the oil nurture your hair. Don't expect immediate results though, it takes about a month of this to see a difference.

2. After that, use Sunsilk Shampoos & Conditioner for Anti Poof/De-Frizz. Make sure you rinse w/ cold water.

3. Products that work: John Freida. Anti Frizz Ease Serum and Straightening Spray. Use as directed.

4. As for straighteners, Chi straighters work VERY well

Hope this helped =]

I use a Rusk product, that I bought from CVS in a tall, 8 inch plastic bottle. I mostly answered because I want to have a copy of this to refer to later, since my hair is frizzy, especially with this humidity!

Be careful with hair straighteners. I tried it once and all my hair fell out. Luckily,it all grew back. So yes, straightners really do damage to your have and makes this worse. What I do is keep my hair cut short, that's the only thing that works for me.
