I agree with you completely. Every action has a reaction and every act a consequence. When it happens to be a pregnancy then you should take responsibility for your action and the life you created. Life should not be considered a throw away item. If that were so why do we react when there is a murder? If a fetus is not alive then it would not grow so there is no debate here. We should be teaching more responsibility for actions than how to hide the consequence by snuffing out a life.

Women who have abortions are simply getting rid of un-wanted, un-living cells. It isn't until a certain timeframe where these cells develope in to any sort of life more sophistocated than the common germ. I would much rather allow women to have abortions than have an overpopulated world, and have children running around that nobody wants. Look at places like Africa, they don't have abortion or birth control; and these are the reasons that they have some of the poorest living conditions in the world.
Besides that, women have rights to do what they want with their bodies. I don't think that they should be forced to have a child that they don't want, or that they can't care for; mistakes happen, don't act like you are so above them. I'm so tired of pro-lifers thinking that their **** doesn't stink. Condoms break, mistakes are made, it happens, we move on.
Another thing you have to keep in mind is that some people do not have as much choice as you may think. My mother, for example, was told that if she kept her baby- she would have died from complications. What do you expect somebody to do in that situation?
You make is sound as though pro-choicers advocate killing living human beings, no; we simply think that women should have the choice of abortion in situations where it is needed, as it is scientifically proven that human cells are not- or barely, living. And being pro-choice is just that, pro-choice. If you want to have an abortion, we will support you, and if you decide not to, we will support you; we are not advocating anything, we just think that there should be the choice.

One can't argue with a closed mind. An embryo is not a viable human life - if the mother dies before 29 weeks or so, teh fetus can't be brought to term. So the argument that it is a human life is somewhat weak. Your argument that the position in life that a baby is born into is irrelevant is naive at best. Children born into poverty tend to remain in poverty, have many more health problems than children born to more affluent parents, are subject to more crime - in general have a poorer quality of life. I'm not advocating abortion for poor people, I just think the argument that the quality of life doesn't matter is turning a blind eye to a larger problem.
Here's a question for you - are you for or against capital punishment. I hope you answer against, at least you'd be ethically consistent in your view of human life. If you answer for, how can you justify the taking of a life, even if it is the state, an extension of the individual, that does it? Is it so different, ethically, than a woman opting to abort a fetus?

Are you claiming that you are clairvoyant and know for a fact that from now until eternity that all fetuses will come to full term and be delivered. The *potential* for a human being to result exists in every fetus, but it is not a guarantee.
Also consider, not every woman who becomes pregnant does so by choice. Not all sex is consensual. To tell her that she must have a child whether she wants to or not is just wrong.

"The fact of the matter is embryo/foetus are living humans"
- this is not universally accepted, hence destruction of an embryo is not considered as murder by many.
If you're in a lab with a table full of petri dishes with embryos and one 6 month old baby in a stroller, and the lab catches on fire, and one could only save the petri dishes or the 6 month old, how many would pick the former and leave the crying child to die?

Because we are pro-CHOICE which means we advocate that every girl and woman should have a choice. The choice to be pregnant or not. Today's women need not suffer the misery of unwanted pregnancy. Forcing a girl or a woman to go through with an unwanted pregnancy is one of the most heinous forms of sexual slavery. It denies a woman her right to live her life as a free woman, as a free human. I am adamantly in favor of abortion, free legal and safe abortions for any girl or woman who wants one. I've seen enough unwanted pregnancies and women burdened with unwanted children in my lifetime. Abortion is simply a method of birth control. . I have remained childless by choice, If I needed it, I would have an abortion so fast your head would spin and would never think of it as anything more serious than trimming my nails. No real woman could ever possibly be anything EXCEPT pro-CHOICE unless she wants to deny liberty to all women.

Yahoo answers is not the place for advocating your own beliefs. All you'll get is reported and a bunch of answers that are either self-congratulatory or inflammatory.
I do have to thank you for not adding a link to the phony photos "pro-lifers" create as scare tactics.
