Im not sure why this is a problem for you. You will be with your friend and her mum will be with her friend.
But if you are really that nervous can you go for less time.

Try to get to know him and if you still don't like him them just try to stay away from him as much as possible. But don't let him ruin a good time with your friend.

tell your friend how you feel. if she really is your best friend then she'll understand and you'll both be able to come up with a solution that makes everyone happy.
