I took a walk this morning...my dad got angry because of past memories of it. >.<

Being on here actually makes me feel better...some people just always know what to say.

You cannot run from reality!

Try to make things better by yourself. Only YOU can cheer yourself up. Unless you take prozac or something.

Go outside, play a game, whatever it takes.

Good luck!

Awe. Honey, you should give your mom a hug and tell her how much you love her. Then tell her that you would like to go for a walk - get her out of the house for some fresh air.

Depression can happen if hormones are changing and maybe you mom needs to see a doctor to get her hormones checked out. The main thing is, don't ever blame yourself if your mom does something foolish.

Have you tried taking your mom to church somewhere? I'll bet if she got really active in a church, her depression would go away. How about you?

I'm sorry you're going through a rough time. Just make sure mom knows you love her. She may feel alone in the world because of some adult issue - you never said why she was crying.

I really hope things work out for you both.

If you use the Internet for help and support there's nothing wrong with that. Comfort your mom and than you will feel comforted. If you feel bad about something that you have done bad that shows that you are really a good person with a true conscience. That should cheer you up! :)

Actually, yes. I've found that the internet only makes me feel worse if I'm already depressed.

Do something that's actually good for you, like having a nice, healthy meal or taking a jog. Those sorts of things make you feel better in the short run and in the long run.

to escape reality? Yes. To express how you feel annonymously? No. :o)

I hope you get feeling better! Here's a joke...

What do you get when you cross a vampire and a snowman?

Frostbite!

OK...that was bad. Sorry. :o)

Deal with the real world and make it better. Coming in here is fine for temporary relief, but it's not an answer to your problems.

dont feel bad! we have all got different ways of 'escaping' reality. i go for a drive or disapear into playstation world!! talk to your mom, that might help you feel better.
why are you both upset?

Depression is serious, can you talk to someone you can trust... can you talk to a counselor, parent, teacher, a doctor, a religious leader, or a family friend can help.

I am here if you would like to talk.... I will pray again and again:) for you and your family okay.... xx a (((hug))) of compassion for you sweetie.

once long ago i got an invite from a friend to Cook me dinner. he said he was going to cook me native food. i said ok. he said my roommates can stay for dinner and they did. when i ask Sam what we were eating, he pulled out his bag of Seal flippers. (from a real seal) I'm one of those people who's up for anything, so i said great. well Sam through the seal flippers in a pot of boiling water to warm them up and announced that they were done. all i can say is they tasted like oily rubber boots. needless to say they went in the fridge and none of my roommates wanted to try them again. eventually one of my roommates threw them out. a couple of weeks later Sam ask what happened to the seal flippers. i told him they had begun to smell and my roommate threw them out. Sam looks at me with this serious look and says "that's when their the best"

this is a true story and i never let Sam cook for me again.

i bet your smiling now
